Damn near every new car looks aggressive now.
There's a few exceptions, but aggressive is definitely the majority.

True, but I can think of any number of popular things that are flat-out stupid.

BRB, going outside to yell at clouds.

As can I. And they are likely different from the things you think are stupid. It's all just opinion. I'm pretty happy with my 2013 headlights but everyone seems to think they can't drive at night without HIDs. I don't like not having an arm rest, but obviously many people don't use them. Maybe I wouldn't if I didn't drive in a straight line for 20 minutes at a time with no curves in the tri-state area, but thats my current situation so I feel I need something different than these other guys.

I think the 86 has better headlights, I'm not arguing that, and having cataracts I really appreciate the morons with HID's.

The LED thing is stupid, though. They'd be off already if Carista didn't require a different OBD dongle than the one I have.

I don't feel like being the first to do it, but I will dump the LED's.

People who get aftermarket HID's on stock projectors get it for the "look at my fancy blue lights" rather than function. You can tell when they post pics of the car and not of the light pattern/throw on the ground. They also choose 6k for the blue color rather than 4300k/5k for the visibility.

So far I haven't read anything about the 2017 feeling faster. 5 hp increase is cat's fart, but the 4.3 rear end should definitely have an effect. If the 2013-2016 had to shift to 3rd for 0-60, then the numbers should be directly comparable. Same with 1/4 mile.

It's interesting that you get an "aggressive" impression from the LEDs. To me, it's much more "modern," or even "futuristic," which I think is much needed in a car that's always been a bit outdated when it comes to trimmings (purposefully, of course). I think it's nice to have just a bit of tech on a very low-tech car.

They will sell boatloads of the things. That is the look of the future of cars and whether we like it or not they will continue and millions will buy them thinking they are the greatest looking cars ever made.

Barf, and I bet you are looking at the front end of the next edition of the 86. You simply can not have the Prius, FFS, look more aggressive than your sports car.

If I was as ugly as the Optimus Prius Prime I'd off myself.

It probably did to at least one designer, but he got to told to sit down. If this was the one that got the nod, I can't even imagine how ugly the other designs must have been.
