0-60 time vs. 0-58 (one shift)
Just curious, the magazine's report the 0-60 for our cars around 6.4-6.5 sec but I know that requires three shifts (2nd tops out ~58mph). Has anyone seen a test that shows what the 0-58mph (one shift only) is?
Given the ECU tunes raise the rev limiter, I would think 60 is achievable in 2nd gear now. I realize the car is not a drag racer but I'd be curious to see if the car is in the high 5s with only one shift to 58mph.

Limit is at 59.2mph. You can use inertia to JUST hit 60 if you clutch at the right time. Doing so, I've had my data logger read 5.9 second 0-60 on a few occasions (this is with a drop in air filter, axleback delete, 14.5 lb wheels and very very sticky 215 tires). Though it's a purely academic exercise as you then have significantly slowed down all further acceleration

I clocked a 0-58 of 5.7 this morning (hand timed by a friend in my passenger seat. Only "performance" mods are K&N drop-in and Unichip EMS. ~70degf ambient air temperature.
Not half bad.

what rpm are you launching at? Are you drop launching to achieve those numbers?

I'm an automatic (in manual mode) so I'm using that whole fake launch limited thing. Engage it by holding the brake for more than a second or so at >5mph, then once you stop, give it gas. Launches at about 4000rpm.

@jsimon7777 it depends on the road surface. I've had it a couple of times, but more often I don't.

I did a 0-60 in 5.8 with: stock tires, 16.4lb rims, e85 tune, 8000 redline... I can spin second and chirp third anytime I want, unless i have a heavy passenger...
