I saw one of these at the dealership today. It looked realllly nice!

My wife and I were looking at a used Crosstrek to maybe use for our drone operations.

I borrowed her GMC Acadia all week and she had my FR-S. At first we were thinking of trading in her car when she confessed that she loves my car and I'm not getting it back!

I've had this car since Nov 2012 and she only drove it a few times throughout my ownership.

So, did my wife just claim my car? Do I trade her SUV in for a Crosstrek and I go full rally for all my equipment? I could keep the SUV since it is paid for and add the Crosstrek as a business vehicle?

And now back to my point. Perhaps I turn her SUV into our business vehicle, she gets my modified FR-S, and I get the brand new freaking green 86!!!

I remember that one!

Perfect storm of too many cars on underdeveloped road infrastructure, too many drivers not savvy to winter driving skills, formation of ice under the snow and lots of summer performance tires.

It adds up to a clusterf*ck and humiliation on the national news.

I work from home so no snow days for me unless we we lose power. And that’s not much fun.

Yeah the south U.S. is never prepared for snow or ice. It shuts cities down. Dallas has just recently started to prepare better for the occasional ice and snow. Usually everyone stays home.

Frankly, pretty much anywhere South of Virginia the one that makes the most fiscal sense is to just stay home. The roads are going to clear in a day, maybe two, except on the most rare occasions. There's no need to spend millions of dollars to clear roads that are going to clear themselves.

Just my $0.02 worth.

I'm voting for door number 3. Put that green one in your driveway!

Agreed, and watching people get stuck on the numerous overpasses here never ceases to amaze me.
The Atlanta storm was especially bad because it hit before people started going home from work. With probably zero prep to the road surface. Plus a bunch of crappy drivers.

Yea, well almost. It started in the middle of the day, and everyone left at that the same time to "beat it". I slept on my office floor that night for the win.

Oh no!! Lol Well you made the smart decision!
I lived in Alpharetta for 3 years (from 1989 to 1991) and I loved it there. 5th to 7th grade, so I wasn’t driving at the time. I do remember my mom getting very frustrated with traffic. Lol It’s gotten a lot worse I’m sure.

Did I mention the dealer had 2 Supra's there? A red one and a white one. I should have never sat in the white one. The price tag was double that of the 86 and was a strong deterrent. But, it was a gorgeous. I bought my FR-S new. I think you are right about the green. However, it would look even better in our garage than in the driveway!

2020 Hakone Edition - Manual

Picture #1
Got my manual transmission 2020 Hakone Edition on October 30, 2019. I had the Michelin Primacy's removed and replaced with Pilot Sport 4S's. Only options are mud flaps and rear bumper protector.

Picture #2
Had to have my classic cue ball shift knob. Also moved the trunk lid liner (Subaru part) from my 2015 FR-S to help quiet down the car. Adding the K&N insert air filter today which brings all mods (tires, K&N, shift knob, sound deadening) up to date.

Picture #3
New 2020 Head Unit. I am using Android Auto from a Samsung Galaxy S9. It works ok, but is a little buggy. I have tried this on two other manufacturer's Android Auto head units (Chevy and Kia) when renting cars. Results seem about the same.

Picture 4
Interior up close. Note the matching armrest which comes stock. While my 2015 FR-S feels like a traditional sports car (noisy, firm riding, great fun), the interior and apparent addition of some additional sound deadening on the 2020 Hakone Edition makes it feel a bit more like a GT car. Still outrageously fun to drive.

The interior looks great with the black/tan theme. This is such an awesome package. I may have to try and find one if the 2nd gen info isn’t released soon.
Let us know if you start to miss the red accents in the FR-S.

Hey was there official word of additional sound deadening on this model or is it just an informed guess? Does the trunk liner produce a noticeable difference? Thanks!

Nice car. I'm noticing a very strange trend, what's going on with your handbrake?
