would you recommend this for scrapes on the bottom of your bumper?

Bumper scrapes are inevitable. I wouldn't bother with scrapes under the bumper. No one is ever going to notice it and if they do they shouldn't care since it happens to everyone.

You can get rubber bumper guard that fits on the bottom of your bumper to make sure you don't get any more. They have them on ebay for pretty cheap. Something like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scion-FR-S-U...9a2b12&vxp=mtr

look around on ebay you might find it for cheaper.

the main reason why you want to repair chipped paint is because bare metal will eventually rust. since the bumper is plastic, it cannot rust.

Trying to touch up a pearl or metallic paint is very difficult and might even make it more noticeable if you don't apply it correctly.

I highly recommend these guys! Their Toyota Super White II (040) is spot on.

Quick google search found me this:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Subaru-Satin-White-Pearl/dp/B007QECJ4I"]Genuine OEM Subaru Satin White Pearl Touch Up Paint - Code 37J : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame]

I take it this is what Subaru's touch up paint will look like?

That's the stuff. Probably want to pick up some clear coat while you're at it.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to go to the dealer? I picked some up for $12.10 (after tax at the Scion dealer). I didn't think about the clear coat, maybe I'll stop by for some of that during my next visit.

Does anyone know if the touch up paint for DGM or Asphalt is in stock at Subaru or Scion dealerships yet?

Pretty sure DGM is the same on the BRZ as any other Subaru that offers it. Best bet is to call up the dealership and ask. I contacted a buddy at my local dealer and they have SWP in stock. I'll be picking it up tomorrow when I go there for their monthly Subaru meet.

It's the same paint code as Subaru's other DGM vehicles. It's the same paint.

I tested on my vehicle -- same color.
