Pretty sure I have this exact same rattle. Behind the driver side dash. Sounds like a clip or screw that hits something on any decent bump. But normal roads it's silent. No luck figuring it out I guess?

I pretty much have the same noise, not very loud, just a little rattle. I’m going to remove the panel below the steering wheel cause thats where mine comes from and going to line the perimeter of it with adhesive felt tape, felt tape is great to eliminate rattles if you can pinpoint them. Problem with today’s cars is wayyyyy to much cheap plastic. I’ve owned and grew up in cars from the 60s/70s that had quieter interiors than just about anything made today. Its a shame when you sit in the luxury cars at the Int’l New Car show and the interior is STILL mostly all generic plastic, but at least our twins are a fraction of their cost.

I've had this incessant rattle from the steering column for about a year now. And there's no doubt about it being the EPS steering damper. I have the new part but I'm worried I'll take the thing apart and not be able to get it back together again. I took the steering assembly down following different videos but got to the point of no return and I returned and put it back together because I didn't have enough room to work. If I removed the drivers seat I would have room.
NOPE Drivers seat is attached by some strange reverse torx things that I don't have the tool for. I tried to remove them with something that almost fit but apparently they're torqued to a million pounds.

So, anyway, I'm guessing your problem is with the GDMFing EPS steering damper thing that's guaranteed fail
