Thinking about getting solostorm. Did you purchase the GPS dongle? or just the software?

And how are the 3.5 lithium for DD use?

You'll probably want a GPS dongle if you're using a phone or tablet, not discreet hardware; 1hz update rate doesn't cut it and some phones are slower.

Yes.. I have the 10khz GPS Dongle for the faster updates.. works awesome, I also have a BT OBD2 reader that integrates nicely with everything.. that way it gives you all you pertinent input data as well.. Throttle, Brakes, Steering angle, G-force and integrates nicely with everything so you get a complete picture. .been using solostorm for the last 2 years.. Provides awesome Data capture and pretty easy to setup and analyze..for the most part. Highly recommended for Autocross... has a Pro feature and normal Autocross .. hope that helps you.. I run it on a Galaxy tab 2..

With the rs*r rear lower control arms, am I allowed to use the additional mounting holes for lowered setting and harder settings, or do I have to mount in factory locations?

You can use whichever holes you want .. not limited on 'just' the factory holes.. Whitelines have additional holes as well. The only requirement is that they have the Rubber bushings vs the heim jounts. Length, adjustment is all open..

I am not sure I agree with that interpretation. That would be a change in suspension geometry. You are supposed to from my reading use the holes that are in the factory location.

I agree, that would fall under the rule that you cannot change the suspension geometry from factory locations.

This is the actual rule.

Quote:
The replacement arms or mounts must attach to the original standard mounting points. All bushings must meet the requirements of Section 14.8.B. Intermediate mounting points (e.g., shock/spring mounts) may not be moved or relocated on the arm.
It's pretty vague so I'm not sure it actually disallows it. Usually by standard mounting point they are talking about another piece which can't be replaced. They also give no guidance on the shape of the arm... So even though they say you can't move the shock mounting point there is nothing that says it can't be C-shaped like the Stance arm.

I guess the main benefit would be to lower the car while keeping suspension travel. I got the Raceseng upper mounts for the same reason.

Yes, it is vague. This segment "Intermediate mounting points (e.g., shock/spring mounts) may not be moved or relocated on the arm." of that specifically disallows use of holes on the arms that are not in the factory location. Just my opinion though.

I would suggest if you want and official response write a letter.

I agree with this interpretation. THe arm can be shaped differently but the holes for mounting points have to be in the same location as the stock arm.

Ah I didn't notice the RS*R arms had different locations for both the struts, swaybar, and knuckle. I think having the knuckle mounting point would be legal, but not the other two.
