Not in the market for a Cabriolet. Altough I could change my mind for the right car. But its more rain than sun where i live.
And still my last car was an MR2 roadster. I can now cross cabriolet of my "bucket list" of car types to own. With so much rain, I was like. " No rain? Top down, top down. Summer car! " |

I'd buy a convertible if it was a hardtop like the BMW Z4, the weight was the same or less, and takes less than 30 seconds to convert.
Otherwise, coupe for me. less maintenance down the road, less hassle, less to worry about. |

I would be worried about body flex. I also have an issue with convertibles because if you roll them you are dead.

Only if the car is built from the ground up to be a convertible. No coupe-turned-ragtop, thanks.

Anyone notice how good the convertible looks because the huge wheel gap is gone on the photoshopped picture? It's really too bad the car doesn't have a nice tight wheel gap like that from the factory!!

I have to admit it would be fun to drive without a roof, but I don't like the way rag tops look and the added weight and lessened rigidity aren't appealing.

I wouldn't consider an FR-S convertible over the coupe version, however I have nothing against owning a convertible if it still brings a proper sports car personality such as how these examples do: MX-5, S2000, Boxster Spyder, etc...

Voted no. For our purposes, it needs a proper roof.

The M Roadster absolutely brings a proper sports car personality and the top goes up or down in under 10 seconds, but much as I love this car, I've kind of had enough of the downsides of convertibles so a convertible twin wouldn't even tempt me.
