The miata used to get crap all the time about being slow. Now the 86 is even slower than the miata. Pretty pathetic if you think about it. I'm sure the refresh will fix that issue though.

It's autoblog, who gives a shit, this post that you have just made is the perfect illustration as to why the Miata has a better reputation online.

If you really want to dismantle the claim actually look at the sales figures that are being criticised.

In the U.S. in 2014 the FR-S alone outsold the Miata nearly 3:1.
Well that's not fair old model, except it was true in 2013 as well, and 2012 with only a partial year of sales the FR-S outsold the Miata over the course of the year nearly 2:1, now add in BRZ sales. 2015 got close with the release of the ND seeing the Miata outsell the FR-S on a monthly basis for the first time, but then you add in the BRZ figures the 86 is still pushing more units. October 2016 is the only month where the Miata outsold the 86 so far, and that was by a whopping 14 cars.

Learn to avoid the clickbait. The Miata gets a free pass because kicking it doesn't generate ad views and foaming at the mouth comments like yours.

But do those same people NOT bitch about that same thing with the miata? It seems like the writer is referring to some other negative reputation that is not also shared with the miata.

They are both slow momentum cars everyone knows that. So what else is there?? ?

Any negativity you guys holding back ? I've read nothing but positivity about these cars minus the lacking power. Sounds like this reviewer knows something we don't know, is riding miatas johnson, or somehow assumed the miata isn't also slow.
