IMo, looked a lot better in this video than in the pictures that were recently released. I'll save final judgement on design until I see one in person.

Was hoping for more details on the mechanicals though. Seems like the 5hp increase is only on the MT which doesn't quite make sense to me, and there will be a gearing change in the diff.

The 5hp announcement is comical ha ha! And yeah I'm really curious why it's only for the manual version?

The front bumper still looks a mess...at least now a front plate could actually help the looks of the car

Definitely makes me think it is just some sort of software re-map versus any hardware change.

Couldn't you honestly get that extra 5 hp from the previous years with a simple exhaust and intake change?

I was really hoping for 25hp at the very least, but 5,that pretty much not even worth mentioning.

I think they intentionally kept it low to detract from overshadowing previous year FRS including 2015-16

And to stick with the whole -"the frs has to be slow to keep to its roots" mentality.

This is silly, that means some of the owners can't even drive manual properly on a hill.
They can't. Perhaps they have a recon team that saw our embarrassing threads on this forum about hill starts... I just got done watching a YouTube video of a 911S driver who couldn't heel toe unless the car did it for him. It's a new age.

Also, I am wondering how durable it is, how it will look after 3 years on the road.
I could live with the logo on the lights if it wasn't for the simple fact that there is another on the fender just 3 feet back. Same with it on almost every possible surface on the interior. Almost like each part was designed by a different person and they slapped the 86 logo on without ever all getting together. Ya, it is indeed an 86 we get it already.

This. They put that logo in way too many places. I actually liked the fender vents with the logo on the '13-'16.

It does look better irl and in silver. Still don't care for the changes over all.

Also, I already catch my ankle on the "teeth" when walking around the nose of the car in the garage - that new lower jaw would take me out!
