Would appreciate if you could take the time to document the install process with some pics, and then let us know of any issues or quirks you faced when fitting everything in.

The install manual makes it seem pretty straight forward, but I've been told it's far from that.

What oil is everyone running? I recently changed to Motuls xclean 5w30 and all of the sudden the weather decides to change. The temperature here in the dfw is between 60f and 40f. When the temperature we in the lower 50s, my oil temp was around 20 in Celsius during start up. After about 10-15 minutes of driving, the oil temp finally got up to 90Celsius. Anyhow, is this normal?

Yes, but not because of alignment or fitment of the pipe clashing with the pulley. I had a few issues with that pipe coming off the turbo. It was nothing a new pipe clamp and some cable ties couldn't fix. We also trimmed a little off the blow off valve outlet pipe as that was pushing the whole piece towards the airbox side of the engine bay and part of why the bottom kept coming off the turbo.

When it's fitting correctly though there's plenty of space and no need to change pulleys or bolts on the pulleys.

Mine actually just got into the water pump pulley. Apparently It go loose when I did some work this weekend and then with my perrin intake pipe it was just pushed right over into it. Didn't go completely through but its still bad enough I'm sourcing a replacement. I wouldn't mind being able to upgrade to all metal piping. I've had that tube come off twice now. And I've upgraded to t-bolt clamps.

To me that's my biggest complaint with the turbo.

I reckon its because the turbo inlet is non-beaded....so I could see why they come off easily. Might need to look for some ultra strong hairspray

Yea there will be three of us installing it so should have an extra hand to take some pictures. Most posts I've seen about the install say it's relatively straight forward.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but does anybody have a break down of what all the bolts need torquing to for this kit??

Nobody knows as the manufacturer doesn't provide any for the kit. But stuff like manifold to engine flange nuts would just follow OEM values.

That pipe is pre-turbo so boost pressure shouldn't have anything to do with that pipe coming off... But for reference 16+ psi at the time of issues.
I've just wound up running a couple of cable ties around it to the turbo compressor outlet pipe to pull them towards each other and problem solved.

I was chatting with a friend who works in an exhaust shop, and he suggested that I should lay a continuous tig-weld bead around the outer edge of the turbo compressor inlet. It should act like a rolled bead and allow the silicone hose to bite better.

Opinions? Bad idea?

I have done it several times. Works great. The bead need not be continuous ether. I usually do three evenly spaced beads about 1 inch long each.
