Yes, but then I hit the inevitable "what kind of engine/whats the horsepower?" question and I'm all... backpedal, backpedal, backpedal.... "well, you see...."

i've gotten the 'nice car! what is it? is it fast?' a few times. when they got to the 'is it fast? question, i just said 'only in the turns' and smiled. they looked puzzled, and i explained that it was designed to be fast in the twisties, not in a straight line, where handling trumps horsepower. they seemed satisfied with that answer.

I do like the fact that the shape of these cars make them looks fast. People just assume it's a fast car if they haven't seen one or heard of them before.

lol, the other day at a car meet we had stopped for lunch and a family started asking about our cars(we had 3 frs' parked next to each other) and a couple of the frs owners spent a good 5-10 minutes talking to the family/showing them the engine/explaining who made the car and letting them sit inside.
I think there was further confusion because we all had different logos/badges. I have a black scion badge with the "scion" part filled in/sanded/painted, another frs owner had black toyota badges, and the 3rd car had silver scion badges. |

I recently got my windows tinted and can't roll the windows down, and because my car is debadged aside from my Subaru badge and my STI badge (Looks good, maybe it's just me WISHING there was an STI.... Should probably take it off) and always ask me what it is. They think I'm a jerk because I can't roll the windows down to talk. I've been thinking about putting the badges back on so I can cut out about 50% of questions.

I'm just gonna say it has 500hp. If they don't know enough about the car to know it isn't fast, then they will have no clue that you are lying.

Everyone is entitled to do whatever they like with their own cars and I mean absolutely NO disrespect to you or your car, but be aware that you will be the butt of a LOT of jokes from people who know there is no such thing as an STI BRZ. Its kinda like putting an EVOLUTION badge on a base-model Lancer. Or a Type-R badge on a base-model Integra. Scott
