My wife preferred driving her Honda Odyssey Touring to my BRZ when I owned it.... Of course we have three kids...

Honestly, you are comparing two very different cars.. The Audi will have a nicer interior and will feel punchier with the turbo, but I just don't feel like it is a sports car at all. It does not have the same driving dynamic as the BRZ. You don't have the same center of gravity nor feel nearly as connected to the car. I have found the newer Audi A4's to just not feel very connected to the road and somewhat numb to drive. They are very nice cars if you care about the interior and badge. For a long trip on flat highways? The Audi all day. For a trip across windy roads or for some time at the track? Not even close, Brz.

Fast=/=Fun. Sports cars should be fun. It's hard enough watching other people drive an A4 without cringing at it's obvious heft and lack of control and responsiveness.

I have an AWD boosted boxer, fast in a straight line is boring. It's so boring you look down at your speedo and see too many digits and not know how you got there. Yeah, real exciting stuff...

Is his A4 quarttro? if not, it just a glorified Jetta. I hope his was not built in Mexico.
I have a Q5 2.0T, it is very comfortable but quite boring to drive.

After driving a BRZ I'll never go back to VW/Audi cuz it makes even the Golf GTI a boring car to drive.

it's A4....... I ride in my friend's all the time.

They are comfy & refine. Tell him to get an S4 before he opens his mouth cuz he has zero clue on wut a sport car is.

A4 Avant will be car number 2 for me, probably next year. Nicer? Absolutely. But it will be like driving a yacht compared to the 86. Up to you. If you don't want to track/hurl your car around every corner, get the A4

My wife's A4 Avant is a premius plus with the sports package. It's a beasty car for some nice road trips. Hauls shitload of stuff in the back. The AWD system is pretty damn good for rainy/snowy roads with a set of decent all season tires.

I plan to get the first white 2008+ Quattro I find within 100 miles. I honestly love it for some reason.

Oh you want the B7 A4 Avant? Not too sure about the reliability. It has gotten a lot better with B8 models.

Havnt done too much research lol. I just don't want too old. Pretty much just lookin to spend like $18k on a second car next year. I'm in the "getting tired of the frs but don't wanna sell it" mode.

Ohhhh haha 2008 is the last year of B7. So don't get that one.

You should look for one +2009 model. Those are the latest generation. I belive you can find one under $20k from next year probably. Our Avant is 2010 model. PM me in the future, if you have any questions on it. I've been on Audizine for 5 years. I'm pretty familiar with it.

A4 is a brilliant car, but apples-to-oranges. If you could own an A4 and a BRZ that would be ideal!
