Everyone with ANY interest please PM me or email me atrout81@gmail.com

Right now plan is running with IRDC with their HPDE groups during race weekends.

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...-events-201828

Norcal86 class calculator. Asking Norcal if this is okay. Waiting on a response.

No time penalty for different timing devices.

Anyone running a race during the weekend does not have to run HPDE to submit a time. If you want to use a time from your race, that is fine.

And we still have to name this thing.

Would like feedback please.@kch @mistople even if you don't participate I would like feedback.

Tentative dates, if there is not enough people signed up they will cancel. 2 sessions a day, Saturday and Sunday.

When you guys go to these tracks that are over two hours away in WA (assuming you are going from OR), do you guys go a day before and book a hotel close by or just wake up hella early to make the drive?

I usually wake up early and make the drive the same day. If I can get off early I will leave the evening before. I have friends I can crash with in Bothel, Kent, and Bremerton so I do that sometimes. Even living in the Salem area, going to Oregon Raceway Park is a 3.5-4 hour drive as well.

The IRDC HPDE is posted for their July event. They are still doing lapping over 2 days but they are distinct individual days (Yeah, more sessions!); Friday and Sunday. But, if you want to do both they are giving a discount. Sunday is more $$ for the track time but that's because weekends cost a lot more for the track rental.

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...-events-194399

Entry Fees:
  • Friday Only: $195/driver
  • Sunday Only: $195/driver
  • 2-day Power Package (Friday & Sunday): $375/driver

2-2.5 hours is my cutoff for same-day driving. Track days are tiring enough without having made a long drive at ass o'clock in the morning.

For far-away tracks, I usually check into a hotel the night before an event, but will drive home at the end.

Free Stuff!

Let's see if we can get some momentum going here.

I have used items from my car that will be raffled off as prizes for those that register by July 10th for the event at Pacific Raceways. There are three prizes available; 1 prize will awarded for up to 5 entrants, 2 prizes will be awarded for 6-10 entries, and 3 prizes will be awarded for greater than 10 entries. Greater than 15 entries, we probably don't need to worry about that, but I can come up with an even better prize if it happens. All winners will be drawn at once and choice of prizes will be granted to winners in order of registration date. Respond to this thread when you register so it's clear who registered first. Also note that IRDC does not charge your credit card until you show up and pass tech. You must participate in the event to be eligible for prizes.

My understanding is that any time during the day of the event will count so rice_classic and I will be collecting times in Race Group 5. My wife will likely drive our car in the HPDE group. These three entries do not count towards the entry counts noted above for prizes, nor will these entries be in the raffle.

The prizes are:
1) Rays Locking Lug Nuts (17mm Hex)
2) Front Lip and Rear Lip/Diffuser
3) CF Look TRD Style Spoiler

Again, all of these items are in used condition. Apparently, the lug nuts retail for $120 when new.

I just stumbled on this thread, and I can say that there will be some interest from FT86 Club Vancouver as well. I'm strongly motivated to help get something started, having competition is one of the best ways to develop as a driver.
