Neither Toyota or Subaru have stated emphatically that they will build this car... and even if they did, circumstances could change between now and then. IMO it is highly probable they will build it. The PR milking they have been doing, the level of interest shown around the world, the large number of other car manufacturers considering bringing out competitor cars, the tie-ins with the Gran Turismo 5 franchise, and the simple NEED recognized and stated by the top-levels of the Toyota organization to produce vehicles that will appeal again to sports car enthusiasts... and of course, the premise that they can make money on this car. The big questions will be what will it look like, be equipped with, and be priced as. I'd say start saving your money! . Last edited by Axel; 01-16-2010 at 05:29 PM. |

I don't see how they could NOT make money on this car. Pretty sure this will be built.

I didn't like them at first.. but those tear ducts are kinda sexy.
(Of course.. if those make it to production, I kind of expect to see crazy paint jobs with FTs crying blood or something.. not sure how I feel about that.) |

Damn. I really like the side mirrors with the carbon fiber on the bottom. Don't change the design of those a bit. The steering wheel too. It would be nice if you could remove the steering wheel like a sparco or something.

msrobley yeah, that definitely adds to the look of the car, with the car in black and that subtle color difference, think that would look really sharp.
corbin, I like the way it looks from the side, especially when it really shows how low the hood sits. |

they don't need to change a thing to sell it -- but some changes to the interior would be nice (seats, zipper thingys, few others). I love the display built into the dash, that should stay if they can help it lol. The general shape of the car is really nice, the short front end reminds me of my Matrix. I prefer having a short front end, makes it easier to keep track of for Auto-Cross -- I keep impaling them cones with my friends RX-7 and Civic Si cause the front end is so much longer than my Matrix lol.

Probably the same reason they don't have a fuel door on it yet, no need on the concept. Really they don't need to keep it safe from someone stealing it or anything, just like they don't need to keep a fuel tank. I bet you they will throw that in when they make production version.

I actually dont want key holes. They can keep it like this : Keep the keys in ur pocket, go near the car, open the door ( it will automatically unlock). That is how my dads camry hybrid is. ( lol sorry for being stupid but does that car have hole keys too?)

yeah i like the smart key things nowadays. im pretty sure it doesnt have key holes bc its still a concept model. and it pretty much has to have key holes in case something electrical happened and the proximity thing didnt work. since it has push start it should have smart keys
