Finally hooked up my subwoofer today with a LOC.

Suffice to say, I'll be buying an aftermarket HU after all. Sounds so ghetto right now.

For anyone that likes working on their car and wants opticoat, I would consider this route.

Get this for $225.
http://www.autogeek.net/porter-cable-7424-kit.html

and this for $60
http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-opti-coat.html

and get intimate with your car. The porter cable makes it almost impossible to damage your paint, and opticoat 2.0 is consumer friendly compared to the old version.

You get a buffer and save half the money.

And here's a how-to to show you how easy it is.

http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/...ion-guide.html

Also use "autopia" on autogeek and get another 10% off.

Just a heads up, Opti-Coat is no longer being made and has been replaced by Opti-Gloss. Newer formula, similar characteristics but its longevity is either not as long or more realistic.

Good heads up, I used 2.0 in the past and kept wondering why autogeek was directing me to that page.

My bad

Just installed the STi side skirts and replica front lip. The sides went on very easily once I had everything measured and marked. That was kind of a pain, but then it just goes right on.

The lip is frustrating. It's easy to see why original is best, but I know I'll scrape it up. Maybe I'll get the real STi one to match the skirts after I manage not to beat up the rep.

The ends where they wrap around by the wheels feels too short on both sides when the front is where it should be. It started getting late so I just gave up for the night. It'll be hot as hell tomorrow so I'm hoping that makes it a bit more pliable.

Would it really have been so hard to line up some brackets with the factory push-clip holes? Good grief.

I scraped my front lip today on the curb, moving out of the way of someone coming too close to me :/

No damages that I could see or feel.

Installed my flossy knob! 0 Problems with these guys, got my shift knob with the engraving about a week/1.5 weeks after ordering. Got the elton heavyweight. It's awesome, good throw, good feel. It says its steel but it doesn't get too hot or cold, whatever they coated it with must keep the temperature pretty mild on there. I'm a fan
