I agree with this statement.

Boring out the whiteline part to make the perrin piece fit is the solution to making these work until one vendor decides to change their piece. Personally I wasn't comfortable modifying a part where much effort was spent doing R&D; felt like I was undoing all of that.

Putting them together does remove all the play in the gearbox mount IMO. To truly do it right you would want to stiffen up the engine mount and diff mounts as well.

More NVH is expected as the the gearbox is so close to you and there isn't much sound insulation in the gearbox tunnel.
Interesting...well as I said they both have different purposes and yes they will remove the play in the gearbox and also it will require stiffening the engine mounts as well...but it will happen I guess at some point. i dont see anything wrong with modifying one part to fit other. If you think about it Perrin modified the factory stify to a better one too. yes, maybe there should be a bit of a play in the perrin part when inserted through the Whiteline. One millimeter would probably be enough rather than having it tight. That is what the original part was in comparison to Whiteline...so this might be a solution. I will investigate more over the weekend.

Hence why I went with the CUSCO/Perrin hybrid myself. Slightly MORE noise, but LESS vibration(more 'give' in that cradle brace assembly) - which I think is a good thing.
Driving it with the WL KDT926(alone by itself) for me just didn't feel right... or maybe I'm just getting too old and don't like the shakes.
Yeah you might be gettign too old buddy! How did it feel with the Whiteline it self? I would think that the noise is generated more because of the Perrin part rather than the Whiteline.

Whiteline was fairly quiet. I had switched the transmission mounts 3x times.
1) Whiteline KDT 926 by itself. - quietest of the three combos, but more pronounced vibration.
2) Cusco by itself - quite noisy
3) Cusco/Perrin combo - slightly less noisy

Just finished mine. Crispier shift! also installed perrin rear shifter bushing. Noise is there but got used to how noisy the car already even before the install. Thanks for the write up! Clean and clear!

ok. I just received confirmed e-mail back from Whiteline and install from front or rear doesn't really matter. hope this helps for many memebers who is going to install bushing.

When you guys say this style increased noise how so? I'm asking cause I'm about to remove the Perrin one I have as it has this annoying whine. I figured this whiteline one being poly and lateral style would eliminate that, am I incorrect in thinking this?

I like what the Perrin T did to tighten up feel however at cruise speeds the faint but consistent whine when accelerating in well..not cool for me at least.

you don't have to pm me for this. i visit forums everyday.
I never heard your issue and i never noticed any sound after installation as well. hope this helps.

few members already reviewed both whiteline and perrin's.
I don't remember quite but heard whiteline's cover sides movement more than Perrin's. Perrin does cover front and back but doesn't cover sides as whiteline's. by looking at both designs, you know.

I hope you don't feel i offended you in anyway.
reason for for i installed whiteline instead of perrin is that installation is little bit easier and filling that empty spot seems much better than perrin's.
