The whole lip kit including rear bumper is about $12k USD.

and that is only after you have proof of owning the 14R/14R60.

not if it was a similar car to the stock version they wouldn't, and on a low speed track like tsukuba i would imagine that would be the case.

We have the figures for the Griffon and the 14R60 is supposed to be a track car so it would be nice to know how much of an improvement over stock all those modifications have made.

oh i agree, i just dont think we will. ive ran into one at a track here, but couldnt find the owner to ask him about lap times. with only 100 of them here, im sure very few of them are being tracked, let alone driven very often.

I was thinking more of an official announcement from TRD or technocraft. That video on the previous page showed the 14R60 being taken round the track, they must have timed it and we know they must have taken a stock car round as well. Perhaps the figures were not as impressive as they assumed?

The 14R60 is a nice car and contains some interesting things, but it looks that it was designed by a marketing department and not by a racing department.

I cannot accept that this car weights 1230 kg (http://toyota.jp/customize/86/14r-60/spec/), when the 2012-2014 BRZ RA (=Race Altered) models weighted 1190 kg even with steel wheels!

Odd, the Subaru Japan website says the BRZ RA weighs 1230kg also.

Yes, that's why I mentioned models '12-'14. This grade is not available anymore. The "R customize" grade is now heavier because it includes sound deadening material, air-condition etc. The "RA Racing" grade is also heavier because it contains a roll cage, oil cooler, etc.
