TRD Kit fitment

Good day guys,

Im wondering about the fitment of the oem trd kit. Im looking into getting one and i wanna know from guys who have fitted it if its just a bolt on/stick on or do o need to remove the bumpers and stuff to fit it on.

I see there is no DIY for this so if i can get more info, i will do a DIY for the fitment. Anyone here with a TRD kit have out the box photos of the components (front bumper, rear bumper, boot spoiler, skirts) and how it fits onto the car will be helpful?

Also wanna know if i need to cut or drill into the body of my car for the fitment?

Thank you

Hey

You can access all the installation guides here: http://www.trdparts.jp/manual_download.html (google translate is your friend). The PDFs are in Japanese though but the pictures are pretty descriptive.

I am going with the TRD kit next spring, and I've done some research so I can help answer your questions.

Front:
Bumper removal: not necessary
Drilling: optional, two holes in the plastic grille to hold up the front plate area. the 3M holds up fine, but it's safer to drill the holes.
Cutting: none

Sideskirts:
Drilling: necessary for additional screws.
Cutting: none

Rear skirt:
Bumper removal: yes. otherwise it will be a bitch
Drilling: yes, a minor hole for a mount to re-route the backup light wiring
Cutting: yes, black trim near exhausts is widened

Rear spoiler:
trunk removal: not necessary
Drilling: optional, two holes to mount the screws. highly recommend if you don't want it to fall off.
Cutting: not necessary

Any chance you took enough pics and are willing to do a DIY?
I will be extremely greatful if you do.

if not, would you mind sharing the manuals or the source of it?

Thank you

I have the TRD Kit,

0 drilling for front sides or rear. It wasn't required and my kit holds on extremely well.

We have the TRD front lip and sides on our FR-S. Installation was very simple and straightforward and everything lined up perfectly. Highly recommend the authentic TRD lip kit for factory fitment and ease of installation.

I thought you had to drill in the rear wheel well for the sideskirts?
