Also another little thing is to make sure you don't over tighten that hose clamp on the washer fluid neck because anything more than even remotely snug will crush it like pictured and will leak, something not mentioned in instructions:

My oil cooler thread above has some tips on how to get clearance and install. Get your catch cans first so you can do all the hose work right away its much easier that way namely the breather tube, and so you have to cut the PCV hose so its better to do the PCV can right away.

I don't believe in the Crawford AOS it separates the unburned fuel and blown by oil and dumps it back into the block, which will help to contaminate oil on a street car. The two cans I recommend are
Saikou Michi and Radium, as they are pressure tested for boost etc.

Finally when you change SC oil, the easiest way I found to get the right amount without ****ing around was to leave one bottle laying around at the level it took to get the dipstick at the middle mark. So when I drain and refill, I just fill to the bottle was at the level of my tester bottle as pictured.

Excellent! Thank you for the tips!

Trust me - wait on the shifter bushing until you have a reason to remove either the exhaust or driveshaft. It's a pain - I did it with the Perrin Tranny Stiffy and Mtec springs all at the same time.

?? You don't need to do either, for the rear shifter bushing anyway. Simply drop the driveshaft carrier ONTO the exhaust and use some extensions. It's cheese.

That may be the case. The Mtec spring install is what caused me to remove the exhaust in the first place. Laying on the ground under the car, I could not for the life of me get a good angle to put back the 27mm bolt with the exhaust in the way. Made the bushing super easy tho.

Life changes cause shifts in priorities. Here are the updates.

Perrin Intake install on BRZ
Impressions:

Pros:
  • Excellent Quality
  • Great Documentation and Support
  • Good hardware and choice of filter media
  • Fairly straight forward install
  • Subtle sound
  • Subtle smoothness in power delivery.
Cons:

  • $290 a rip off
  • Filter check or change requires bumper removal, absurd.
  • Marginal power changes

Prosport JDM Gauge Oil Pressure
Impressions:

Pros:
  • Quiet
  • Color match to dash pretty close
  • Digital and analog readout
  • LED Trailing light attractive
  • Warning sound easy to hear
  • Affordable
  • Sender fits easily and comes thread coated
Cons:

  • Gauge quality suspect, connectors cheap and flimsy.
  • Does not have brightness adjustment, only dims with 12v signal
  • Prosport support has had issues in past.
  • Gauge holder hardware garbage bin cheap
KravenSpeed Gauge Holder
Impressions:

Pros:

  • Great quality
  • Small company
  • Support excellent
  • Easy to install
  • Looks OEM
  • Different size gauge holder options
Cons:

  • Price
  • Does not angle/toe only adjusts up or down
  • Allen head screws make for harder install

Earls Connical Washers for -10AN Pressure Fitting Oil Cooler
Impressions:

I have had too many issues with the oil cooler lines leaking at the fitting, and its almost 95% because it's very hard to get a good seat on the barbs with how little room there is to angle the lines around. As you tighten the lines down there is always pulling force on them causing the seat of the fittings to have issues. The washers are supposed to fill the small gaps.

Mission accomplished, but will continue to keep an eye on it.
