Went down to the audio place this morning and set up my appointment. They were in the middle of doing a GT-R and 2 Rolls-Royces, but I should be good to go next week or the week after.

Sitting at the clear bra/tint shop (Advance Auto Engineering in Cerritos, CA). I was concerned about how the custom cut would look, but since when I walked inside they were working on an LFA and McLaren MP4-12C, I figured I had little to worry about. He just did an Asphalt FR-S yesterday, as well, I guess, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

What parts of the car are you going to clear bra? What was did Advance Auto Engineering quote you? The place has decent reviews and I plan I going there as well.

standard half hood. 600USD for the coat and 150 for the tint. Scott's a great guy. Tell him that the guy with the SWP BRZ sent you.

I have to admit, the LFA made my jaw drop. A guy at my work has a MP4-12C, so I've seen one up close before, but not a LFA.

Gorgeous white glorious car...

The tinting and Clear Bra turned out very well. The guys at Advance Auto Engineering (www.adancebra.com) did an excellent job, and the dark windows look incredibly sharp with the Satin White Pearl paint.

As expected, the clear bra has a noticeable line on it where it terminates (half-hood), but my pockets weren't deep enough to wrap the whole front (or whole car). That being said, it's much less noticeable from the front, and I have that peace of mind driving down the highway now.

I drove down to San Diego today to have a late lunch at Stone Brewery, trying to break that 1000 mile barrier as soon as possible. The 5 was fairly congested, but there were a few areas where I could wind it up to 85ish or so and let it cruise.

The car likes to respond to the most infinitesimal variations in wheel pressure, I noticed, especially at speed. Part of this is due to the surfacing on the 5/405 in SoCal, as it's not as noticeable on blacktop. It is a good thing, however, as it forces the driver to pay close attention to the road... something that happens far too little, these days.

Here are a few more pics while parked in front of my friend's house. The battery died in my camera after the first one, so the next two are from the cell phone again. Apologies.

I went for my daily drive down Pacific Coast Highway (Laguna Beach to Dana Point to Huntington Beach and back) and saw an Asphalt and an Ultramarine FR-S. It was nice to see some new owners enjoying their cars, too.

The car continues to draw attention... was followed/chased by a couple different cars trying to take pictures/video of the BRZ. PCH is a hot spot for nice cars, so people cruise there all the time looking for the next hot thing. Saw an orange Lamborghini Reventon yesterday.

The transmission continues to impress. I'm considering a harder rear shift bushing to make it feel even more firm, but I'm not quite sure it needs it yet. This car is a blast to drive at any speed.

Hmm...

I think I'm more impressed by your house.

Than your car of course

Any close ups on the clear bra?
