DI Seal Tool

Does anyone know if the below toolset for the VW would work for our direct injector seals? I’m not concerned if the puller doesn’t work for our injectors. Im interested to know if the taper and dyes are compatible.

Why not just buy the OEM tool? This seems more complete for cheaper—win win.

Did you not watch that video and walk through? I don't see the worth in buying that tool set at all. You can easily return the toyota tool if you find a place with a good return policy:

compare it to your vw tool kit and I do see some cone similarities but it's impossible to compare them size wise. Also paying $50 more for a series DI seal tool you need is definitely worth it for it to be easier to follow the service manual.

Saw the thread. Saw the tools. I also watched a YouTube with The Humble Mechanic using the kit I posted on VW injectors, and the multiple dyes made it look much easier, plus it is cheaper. The pictures in his thread make it look like the injectors are the same size before the seal. I’ve also seen people use other tapered items like a ball point pen to stretch the seals, and I’ve seen a combination of tape and zip ties used to re-compress the seal.

I’m cheap when it comes to getting over-charged for stuff that is senselessly over-priced.

It really is nothing more than a tiny ring compressor but the right tool is the right tool. :/
