And everyone who has ever owned a POS BMW won't touch it with a 10 foot pole.. not sure how great that would be for Subaru.

I dispute the other "information" that has been tacked onto it. There is nothing to support any of the numbers being thrown out. I dispute that it is still accurate in their timing and possibly even the minuscule info it offers. Things have changed a lot in the industry since that pic first showed up in December.

That is a great point that I never really thought about. So, "launch" in our end of the business is usually 2 years before the actual vehicle is ever seen. We are currently a year into "launch" of a whole new vehicle that does not come out for another 18 months. I can not speak for how Toyota/Subaru use the term but the Big Three all refer to "launch" as the process prior to the vehicle being available for sale. The term used for when they actually go on sale is "release".

Looking back on the Subaru doc, if Production does start in Spring then Summer 2021 release is actually possible. Not surprising that both companies seem to be using the approx same dates for obvious reasons. Of course development issues can push it back.

NEW GR86 Forum -- **sigh**
Well folks...it happened...someone went and created anew GR86 forum pushing the RUMORS and SPECULATION we have all heard over the last year:
https://www.*********/ (GR86) (.org) And it even got traction that freaking Motortrend cited them: https://www.motortrend.com/news/toyo...-leak-details/ Seriously?!?! We still don't even know it will be called the GR86, and the one slide that everyone is throwing around a few months late, still refers to it as the 86.... I wish we could quarantine idiots from using the internet, like we are quarantining them in their homes....I guess this just lets them do more dumb things on the internet with their extra free time Last edited by J1Avs; 03-25-2020 at 01:00 PM. |
