Ok this is ridiculous. Since I'm in Hawaii it's not run by the American Scion Corp. So upon calling them about this parts issue they directed me back to the people I'm dealing with here....who have no idea when the parts will arrive and can not call me.

I'm seriously so mad that I'm about to pull my down payment and tell Scion to go off themselves and buy that Fiat Abarth I've been eyeing.

These guys will either compensate me for this bs and the time I'm wasting, or will lose a customer.

How do you avoid scrapping the front lip in & out drive ways or malls???

I scraped my front lips twice even I am super careful.

Did you angle or turn the wheels while going through?

Only other way I know is to look ahead and prepare to take safer / alternate routes around.

Must be the TRD springs making the car more prone to scraping...

Even at stock height and no front lip, sometimes hitting stuff straight on will make me scrape. Now that I have a front lip, more so. I still haven't put on the skirt lip. If you just angle out of pretty much every decline then you should be okay.

It's lowered by an inch...with an extra inch from the lip. So yes, it will be more prone to scrapes than a 2" higher factory car.

best bet is to learn to angle the car, goal is to make tire hit before the lip.

I did most of the time but some driveway is just too narrow and steep...better scrape than jump the curb...the TRD is low and the front lip does sticking out.

I suppose with the lip and springs, it's bound to happen.

Don't know of another solution other than having a back up replacement lip on stand by for the future.

With my TRD springs I find that even some railway crossings can be a challenge (we have some nasty ones) even without a lip.
You eventually learn to approach just about every incline or rough spot at an angle.
And of course I always wondered in school "when will I ever need to know trigonometry"!

It shouldn't be hard for anyone who had a lowered rice rocket in the early 2000s. I still go over speedbumps and dips at an angle in my stock Evo haha.

The sound level changes, to me it sounds like having the sound tube plugged. I think that the throttle response is a bit better...is it faster? Don't know, engine was still breaking in when I installed it. I suspect that the relocated MAF sensor responds faster being closer to the the throttle.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably wait a while before committing to the intake. Is it a do-it-yourself install or dealership?
I will most probably start off with the TRD wheels and fog lights. The factory fog lights are too expensive, is there another alternative?
