The EV is expensive, the ICE Kona isn't that expensive as I recall.

Sigh... I just saw a Honda commercial showing the emotional effect of running a dude over (lots of crying), promoting their pedestrian warning tech. Like wtf. Look what happens when you don't pay attention. Buy our product so you don't have to!

The 86 with Trd catback would warn pedestrians. Thank god the acceleration is so pedestrian. Give them a long time to get back on the curb.

Car manufacturers have always showed off their warning sensors or whatever pretty much by showing someone ALMOST getting hit and then the two people just sit there and smile at each other (which has never happened). I’ve never seen it to that extreme though. A lot of tech in newer cars can be helpful, but if you can’t take two seconds to turn your head and look, then you shouldn’t be driving. Just making people lazier and lazier.

Are there EVs from anyone with a with a third pedal, or were you referring to the ICE version?

Let's face it, I don't think there's EV w 3 pedals. Also noticed that in my state (UT), they don't have any EV Kona. EV Kona that rare or just my state sucks?

I have very very little knowledge of EVs but I always thought they just had one gear and no tranny in the conventional sense? You don't need gears or a torque converter when you can't stall the engine and have 100% of your torque available at a dead stop.
No doubt somebody will correct me if I am wrong.

You're correct however some have tried putting a transmission between motor and wheel. Really no performance advantage just a behavioral concession

Ahhhh Engineering to accommodate behavour instead of changing mindsets to meet the improved tech. Never a good idea really since it rarely meets expectations and often just messes things up.

I love when people give me requests for analysis that make me freak out internally because I have no idea how to do what they ask and then I just google some stuff and make a badass graph showing exactly what was requested.

I've been lurking too much... how ya'll doing?

After a very fun but very short-lived experience with an IRP short shifter (too much damn rattle!) I sold it and bought a new electric guitar instead.

Contemplated buying a new amp too but thought it wouldn't be very neighborly to be super noisy. Plus I'm on council so a noise complaint against me would probably be viewed poorly. Instead I discovered the wonders of a USB audio interface and virtual amp software... plug in my headphones and I can play as loud as I want and with more pedals/effects than I know what to do with. Very fun!
