Remotely lower windows with key fob?

Many cars have a feature to roll down the windows with the keyfob. I was pissed I couldn't even add that to my Mazda3 since complete base model Mazda 6 gets it. Can anyone test if the BRZ does this?

If you don't already know how, most cars require you to double tap unlock and hold the second time for a second.

Sounds like a dumb idea if you've never dealt with this feature before but if you move to Florida, you will understand why this is a life saver. Get all of that heat out while you're walking to it. 20-30 cooler in that 10 seconds. It's already high 90s here in June...

I know my 350Z and E92 M3 had it. The Corvette Z06 and Cayman R didn't to the best of my knowledge. I don't think your temps will drop 20 degrees in 10 seconds. It is one of those features that you show off to your buds once and then never use again, kind of like Siri.

If I remember this evening I'll give it a try. I thought about it before but forgot to try it. I can't remember seeing it in the manual though...

I use that function in my TSX nearly every day. But I wont die without it, definitely not a deal breaker.

I see you're in Florida. Do you park outside? I do at work and being able to do so would GREATLY drop temps as when cars get up 130+ in the Florida sun after 8 hours. Was hoping to gain this feature with this car.

You could always get an aftermarket alarm that has this feature if it's important to you. My Maxima used to be able to roll the windows down but not up, which seemed sort of backwards to me. I thought the idea was that if it's raining and you left your windows open you can roll up your windows without getting wet. On Audis it will roll up all the windows and close the sunroof.

No the idea is that they don't want your stupid kid to break his arm off in the window while you're trying to auto close it. In the US all BMW's can do auto-down with the remote but if you wanna do auto-up you gotta do some programming.

vw/audi have come with auto up and down for years, my 99 MKIV jetta had both from the fob. If something puts pressure on the window it will stop rolling up to prevent limb loss.

I actually tried that today for the first time - no go. I wonder if it's something the dealer can program, but I'm guessing not. Oh well, the 2014 model will get it if we complain enough.

My Accord has auto down with the remote, but not up. To get the windows back up I have to physically put the key in the driver's door lock and turn it twice to lock (holding on the 2nd turn). then all of the windows go up. On a really hot day, it is nice to be able to let the car vent for a minute before getting in, but I rarely use it.
