Would you count an R34 Z-Tune in this?

All of the Porsche GT products are superb. Outside of that, I’d love a 458 speciale.

Well, I've already owned a better/faster 240Z than the 432, and a better/faster sports car with a big-inch aluminum Chevy engine than the '69 ZL-1 Corvette... But at least the 432 Z and ZL-1 aesthetic work for me, unlike the stripper and/or hooker and Barbie aesthetic which kinda don't...

No, I don't see the the point of having a street car that fast. Even driving something like a Z06 feels painfully boring unless you're doing something that would get you thrown in jail. Even if I had a billion dollars I wouldn't go beyond something like a M3 or 911.

If money was really no object, I would buy a 250GTO and keep it in my living room to stare at

Doubtful, but if I did, it would need to fill a few roles like cars & coffee poseur, motorcycle substitute, track day hero, and sunny day driver through remote mountain roads.

That brings it down to two (you said new) roadsters, a Caterham or Ariel, please.

Or for something close enough that can be driven in all weather conditions, save a bundle and search for a nice 2005 MR2 Spyder M/T.

I’d buy the new Tesla Roadster as a daily.

For the weekends I think something high singing like a Ferrari V12 with a stick shift, LFA or Porsche GT.

For the track, a BAC Mono.

LOL. No way. Such cars are just for private museums and investment. In general people that had a chance to drive exotics and were honest enough, they were saying that people buy them just because they can. There was once a brand trying to sell their new model for 100k and no one was buying it. Then they hired an external consultant and suggested to double the price. Then people started buying it just because it was in the 200k range. In fact the technology used in many of these cars is outdated and it is not on the same level comparing to mass production vehicles.

For me, probably not. I'd rather have something fun and comfortable I can drive on a daily basis, and fit my family in as needed. A ~$75k M3 manual would fit the bill nicely. I'd spend another ~$175k on a Viper ACR for track days.

I'm sure I could find some way to spend the last $50k...

Haha I do the same, but with my kid. He's in his "car" phase so whenever he marches over to the toy section of the store, I'm happy to go with him. He's got pretty decent taste (for a 2 yo) and found some cool cars - 2018 Ford GT, 2017 Dodge Viper ACR, mk5 GTI, Acura NSX GT3, 997 Porsche GT2 RS, 964 Porsche 911 turbo, etc. He even had a white FR-S and mk6 GTI (just like daddy and mommy), but pretty much destroyed them.

Price says negotiable. And the ad doesn't even say 'I know what I have. No low-ball offers!' Offer your twin as a trade?

I've mentioned this in other threads......
I enjoy driving. I enjoy driving mum's Yaris. I enjoy driving my BRZ. Part of that comes from being able to flog both cars at speeds I can grasp. The 360 Modena I drove on track was so far beyond my comprehension I found it not so enjoyable. And that's a slow car now. And certainly I'm no faster.

Even the only non-exotic car that has some appeal looks too fast for me and that only comes in an auto so even that doesn't appeal all that much. I'm looking at you Alpine A110

Maybe a 220hp Elise?

No. I'd take my BRZ and replace each part with the lightest alternative, load it up with carbon fiber and titanium and the like. It would be much more fun and much more useable. $12k oil changes are a no go.
