Loden makes one that is very similar. I purchased it but ended up selling it because I didn't feel that the quality was up to par. It was made out of some sort of hardened resin with really unclean lines that bled over into the corners like what you'd expect a hardened sort of sticky candy to look like. The "painted finish" on it was just a cheap vinyl wrap that degraded from just the oils on your hand.

I'd be interested in a similar design (as I did like the concept of it) that's of good quality.

Mine will be 3d printed (on a $35K+ 3D printer) in ABS plastic then sanded primered and painted. It could also be plasti-dipped also, or maybe Chrome paint...hmmmm. But with the file I can also cut out of billet aluminum, but its costly!

I can make any design, just have to get the file. So if you guys come up with something better let me know. If you send me a .svg or .stl I can test out different designs. I could also maybe make region emblems i.e. Norcal 86 etc...

lol, I also have a $35,000+ 3d printer, they are not good for anything like this, even with sanding and painting, you're not going to like the result much.

I personally would recommend professional prototyping, $35-60 for a OEM quality CNC'd polished stainless steel, or even chrome painted PC, and then however much for shipping, that's what I do.

I am a professional prototyper lol I have 3D printers capable of printing down to 16 micron resolution as well as CNC machines and lasers at my disposal!

Also, I have already done my first version and it turned out awesome...just was too small so I have to do it over a tad bigger.

Here are two I did just to check the sizing. One was too big and one was too small. As you can see the finish is rough because I printed in low quality to save on material cost. Though it could be sanded to a smooth finish. Now to print in high quality! Ill post a pic of the finished product before paint. Then maybe Ill do one in Billet to see how it comes out.

What kind of 3D printer is it? FDM, SLA, etc.

Here it is !!!! Gloss finish not painted yet. Size is perfect to the factory emblem size. I am using an Objet30 Pro in this photo. Tomorrow I will try it in ABS on the Dimension 1200sst 3D printer. The previous photo in black and white was from a crappy Makerbot that I was using just to get the size right.

I can't be the only one thinking that 86 logo (without the ring) would be a sweet ass addition to my keychain...

My mind doesn't jump to see a nazi symbol but I can see what you mean. Never really cared for the 86 logo.
