Technically they are "Adapters" when the spacer bolts up to the existing hub.

Adapters are usually 20mm and larger. Spaers are anywhere from 3mm to 20mm.

Lots of people make "Adapters" H&R, Ichiba, Etc Etc...

Look for Hubcentric ones...

I believe the OP of this thread sells the spacers through their business.

If you want to pickup locally, I know a few dealers in your area.

Springs and Spacers/adapters (spacers a week back, springs today). I bought the adapters from another vendor (no threadjack here) and had them shipped (arrived in 3 days). 20mm front, 25mm rear. Springs should settle to -1.0" to 1.18" F and -1.20" - 1.30" rear". Will work till I figure out exactly what to do for wheels (both track and street).

I used 20mm H&R spacers for the front and 30mm H&R spacers for the rear. Went with some 18x7.5 wheels and a 1" drop. I really did like the way my Volks looked with the spacers on (besides the fact that the spacers were aluminum in color - need to anodize them black), but in all honesty the car drives better without the spacers on. I've been driving w/o spacers for the past 3 weeks and I feel the car has more responsive steering and generally just feels better. I'm going to experiment with maybe just leaving the spacers on the back and not having anything for the fronts. It might look a little funny, or I might just do spacers all around again "just for looks".

Are the factory studs long enough for a 10mm spacer?

So, you should be safe with even 10mm spacers.

Not even close. The minimum safe thread engagement is 12mm or 10 turns. Take a lug nut off and count how many turns it takes until tight. Subtract 10 turns from that number and multiply that by 1.25 to get your max spacer thickness.

Longer wheel studs are a must with "spacers" most of the time. The only time it is not is if it is a 3mm spacer but those are garbage (most are cast aluminum).

If you are unable to do the wheel stud change yourself, the extra cost may be so much that selling what you have and buying the proper fit wont be out of the question.

That's basically the same as general rule of thumb of needed 1 bolt diameter worth of thread engagement, but used to figure out the max spacer size. I'll have to try this method. I figured 10mm is too thick but many have stated that they've used 5mm spacer on oem studs without issue.
