At the moment, I have the Automatic transmission. was thinking of changing it, but not quite sure just yet.
The auto has been known to reliably hold more power without issue compared to the manual.

If you have an auto like me, get a stark transmission cooler if you feel like you're going to beat on it occasionally.

I don't really plan to get on it all the time, but of course, that's saying that without having it yet, either way it definitely would help the reliability of everything.

Why not just buy an IAG stage 2 shortblock? No building required; pull your engine, remove heads, change shortblocks and reinstall. You can then sell your shortblock to recover some of the cost.

NOW THAT'S AN IDEA, its around the same price I was considering for the HKS stroker kit, which was then kicked and parted out separate internals and after say, internals plus shop cost, I would still be in that ballpark. I could get the whole block and do what you said and do it myself. I like this. I like this a lot.

The auto holds around 250-270 lbs-ft reliably. You'll be above that with your projected power goals. There are SSP upgrades you can get for your auto if you were to stick with it.
