People say the same thing to me when I compare the twins to a C6 Corvette. Considering I can get a used C6 for less than a new twin why the hell not compare them, lol. I always end up with crazy different comparo's when I'm shopping around though.

my original plan before the FRS came into the picture was to keep my S2000 and buy another STI(had an 04 previously) but since I kept the S2000 and bought the frs, i'll wait to get another sti

+1 I was seriously considering these two before the BRZ came along (AP2 S2K, G35 coupe). I'm so glad the BRZ does in fact exist! When I test drove it, I had to have it! It checked more of the right boxes for me than these two did! Still wouldn't mind having either of those options sitting in the garage next to my BRZ though.

was on the fence for the past few years to pick up a 993 series porsche but read the "used 911 story" and thought different. then the brz entered the equation and after i drove one decided it met my criteria for fun and what i wanted to spend. so... if the brz was never developed then my sti would be sitting all alone in the garage.

The Frs I found to be just the right price for an affordable brand new sports toy. The minute I drove it, I knew instantly it was the chassis I was looking for. The handling is world class and now paves the new standard! I believe the engineering that went into this chassis took a ton of high end design. For a brand new car right off the lot in the $25k segment, it wins many times over. Toyobaru did it right. Now I could've gone out and got me an R33 Skyline GTR, E46 m3, S2000, Supra turbo, C6 vette, or maybe even a 99 Dodge Viper GTS. But I wanted new. I need back seats no matter how small they are and it had to be a daily driver. That means economical too. The FRS wins for me. ...there can sometimes be tricky things when buying expensive high end sports cars, used. I know enough people who have suffered catastrophic failures not long after their purchases and it set them back quite a bit. Not saying that you can't get a perfect condition used car because you can. Just saying... New is new.
