Looking to get the 527's ordered soon. I'm torn between the Chronium and flat black. Opinions on Raven?

I say flat black. I'd also plasti dip the emblems to match the flat black wheels. Chromium would look good as well, but I've heard of some peoples colors being off on rims if I remember correctly.

Every set I see in Chronium they look different. Some look like gloss black while some look silver. As far as the caps I want to try some of the 86 badge overlays I've been seeing around.

Yea, I know what you mean, but that could just be light, angles, etc. But I think some people did have issues with the color.
And well I was actually referring to your emblems; the Scion on the front/rear and the piston logo on the sides. Just did a friends yesterday and it looks great on his raven FR-S. Also had a different guy also come over and I installed his springs while he plasti dipped his rims white and he replaced his scion caps with 86 ones... they looked really good.

Ohhh gotcha. Yeah if I go with the flat black wheels I'll probably plasti dip all of the emblems.

Hey guys if I get the 527 in 17" 8.25 20MM offset. I was going to run with just stock tire. But now I'm looking at getting 245/40/17. Do you think having 20mm offset will make stick pass the fender?

Thanks

They will stick out about 10-15mm (depending on the tire brand) on stock suspension with no camber.

if you dont want them to stick out take a 35mm offset.

Guessing you have stock camber, the most flush setup would be either of those:

17*8.25 +35
18*8.75 +35 (will poke a tiny bit, about 5mm)

I was one of the guys with the color issues on chromium black, you can see it here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32195

So I would recommend flat black anytime! Also, in hindsight, I would have ordered flat black from the beginning, it just looks so much better. If you take Chromium black, depending on your "chromium level color" you get, the wheels depend from bling bling black to very dark shinny black.

I will be lowered on ST coilovers prolly around neg 2 on camber. I already bought the 527 in 25mm. I want the flush look. Maybe I'll rethink the tire size.

I will most likely be going bronze 527s, but I just saw that nlmotoring has updated the 527 colors with a 'Wasabi Green' and a 'Habanero Orange'. Normally I like to stay low key, but I think the wasabi green would look pretty good on my ultramarine.

http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-527-Wh...52778104gn.htm

thoughts?? I think it's a bit too flashy for me, but curious to what others think.
