Thanks for the great review and the kind words, fellas! You can continue to expect the same from the entire team here at GrimmSpeed!

Get in touch if you're interested in buying a set. Our group buy has ended, but pricing is still excellent!

I did not see carbon fiber in your picture.
What’s reason for that?

I'm pretty sure that the carbon is only for looks. Mechanically the struts are the same, I think.

Are these just an open or closed hood strut? Or can it stop half way up for example? Am interested in getting a set. I'm in Canada. K4M 0E3. If you could message me a quote shipped, that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance!

Good thing you exhausted all resources while searching for these hood struts before you revived a 3 year old thread with no relevant information

They can hold the hood partially up. I'm not a vendor, just an end user. You should be able to order these from a number of shops.

GS hood struts rule, since this has been necro'd so hard.

I just got a set for my SG5 too.

I know there are a decent amount of videos on youtube that showcase the rather large neutral zone, including a video of me showcasing these versus the other commonly available set (almost all of them are the same). So it can stop half way up and hold (obviously not hold as strong as it does when it is in the fully deployed state).

There's an entire development thread on here too that showed the development process of these in real time from start to finish. It has way more information than anyone would ever need, and might be cool to skim through if you're interested.

I can't supply you a quote, as this account is only used by engineers and not our sales people. You could get a quote by either calling us direct, or emailing sales@grimmspeed.com. I wouldn't use the website for a quote, as something about it makes the shipping prices to Canada outrageous.

This is probably your best option since they are already located in Canada. I appreciate the link Cole, because I didn't know about that distributor.

Amazon might be a good choice too, thanks for posting up!

I'd have to strongly agree. My FXT loves those hood struts too, with the amount of time I have to spend under there :P

Sick. All of our sets across all of our vehicles are too. And we've had a very very small amount of issues or returns on them. The brackets are super robust, and the struts themselves are of super high OEM quality.

Lemme know if you have any more questions, or go ahead and peruse Youtube for some videos and reviews, or look for our development thread on here.
