Yeah I've removed my antenna before (Installed GT-R antenna), 3 clips, pull down the headliner, undo the bolt (I think it was a 27 mm nut) unclip and off it goes.

Thanks! You need to pull the top 3 clips and the sides correct?
Nice looking antenna, that GT-R style.

Anyone know of a delete option? Possibly adding a colored cap to seal the roof. ie. White plug for Whiteout

I believe so, it's easier done than explained, once you see it, it should be fairly straightforward

With the antenna removed do I need to be concerned when the shop claybars and washes the roof? Should I have the hole temporarily plugged to prevent water getting in?

Put some painter's tape from the inside to temporarily plug up the hole, that should do unless they absolutely drench the roof.

Looks like I am getting closer to a solution. I will have to visit the local hardware store and check out the plumbing and screw section.
Flush, threaded hole plug and a sealant washer. Will have to get a Whiteout plug.
Link to the source of someone's wiper plug solution: http://www.motoringalliance.com/foru...-delete-2.html

I will do this tomorrow night and report back...My car is getting started on on Friday morning.

When my car is finished, then it's time!

The hole left by the antenna is not a perfect circle

I guess that helps to avoid a rotating antenna socket. Do you have any pictures of the hole? I am thinking about replacing the stock antenna with a DAB one.

Thanks for the guide.

I had to do this not because I had to remove the antenna base, but because I had to adjust it due to it being slightly skewed clockwise.

Instead of removing top black bezel? Cant you just buy a shark fin that goes over it? Just wondering.

Thanks for write up though, helped my buddy not force his off.

Yes, but you need to remove the antenna entirely if you're doing a roof wrap.

It's a 22mm, just use a socket and ratchet.
