Tire Pressure Sensors Question
Just a quick noob question guys. I'm about to fit my aftermarket wheels on and I was asked if I wanted to install tire pressure sensors with them. I heard that without the sensors you can't turn off traction control or turn on sport mode. I was wondering if that was true or if there were any other consequences to not installing them? I can deal with checking the tire pressure myself so thats not an issue. If it matters at all the wheel size is 18x9.5 and the tire size is 245-35-r18. Thank in advance!!

Not true and no consequences other than the light will stay on.

Not true, I autocrossed all last year with a sensor missing and the light on and had no trouble disabling traction control or sport mode.

Not required. I swap my racing wheels on and they do not have the sensors. Light will come and stay on, that's it.

I see so much discussion about this but I must not understand.
Why cant the tire pressure sensors just move to the new wheels? |

They could if you want them too, just have to unmount the tires and transfer them over.
