The repair is covered. A new windshield is below my deductible though.

I snapped a wheel stud because the alignment shop I use overtorqued and cross threaded one of my lugs on my right front wheel.
I'm thrilled.... |

Guess I'll be buying a cordless impact wrench and a 3-5 lbs hammer. Better buying those tools to use long term than paying a shop to knock out the wheel stud and install a new one. Surprisingly a fairly simple fix, but man, the stock wheel studs are crap it seems. I still think they're okay as long as everything is hand torqued.

Good news, I found a screw extractor kit for the lug nut, and wheel studs can be done by hand with no impact wrench needed. Probably cost me about $15-$20 to do this repair by myself. I don't feel so bad anymore, I'm just upset that air tools fucked up my wheel stud which is why I hate them being used for tightening when they should only really be used for loosening or just SLIGHTLY threading a nut on then hand torquing the rest of the way. |

Oh yeah, I made sure to tell them to hand torque mine when I had my Sportlines installed. Stupid Sportlines...I wish I had just gone with my gut and got a Pro Kit from the beginning.

My LCA's are still clunking some as well. Trying to figure out where that is occurring. Once I get all these minor issues knocked out, I'll be happy. |

Good unless you are trying to buy a house which prices are going through the roof but salaries for existing employees are not :P It takes a long time, if ever depending on the company, for salaries of existing employees to go up because its taking more money to get new talent. I work in compensation so I know - some companies have a factor applied at annual review time that makes it so if you are less than market for new hires you get a bigger raise but this is actually fairly uncommon. Most people get nothing or just get a 2% "cost of living adjustment" even though cost of living in Austin went up a LOT more than 2% in the last year (for those that do not own their own place at a price locked in the past).
