Here we go again.

But it's not from motoring.au this time.
http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...a-reality.html
http://www.autoblog.com/2015/11/10/t...rmance-patent/

What annoys me is that it looks the exact same as the concept so I don't know what to believe.

DUDE
These sites are no better than moroning.au. In fact they sort of semi, kinda, without saying so are quoting motoring on some of the "info".

And for crying out loud they are using the patent office as a reference since they are so desperate for news.

Autoblog is pretty reputable and usually doesn't post BS articles without some fact finding.
Autoblog is a really good source for news and such. I'm not saying they are immune to BS articles. lol

A BRZ STi is inevitable. I think the concept was a hint at something to come. It will take a lot for me to consider trading in for one though. I can only imagine how much it would cost.

Yes but it'll probably be hella expensive and only come with a body kit and suspension upgrades. The "moar powa" fanboys will be disappointed and sales will be low. Toyobaru's response will be "see we told you it wouldn't sell and that's why North America doesn't get all the JDM special models". It's a vicious cycle.

Or Subaru creates a Porsche Cayman for under 40k.

I disagree. Someplace on here is an autoblog article from early this year that is almost word for word a motoring article from 2014 with the "expected arrival" changed from 2014 to 2015. In fact if memory serves me it was also STi related.

Even with the google translate which is funny in the translations, you see everything, JDM has like almost ten different variations you can buy...I like the 86 Race version. if that would be sold here it would be wanted model in 20-25 years. Maybe sooner. And the TRD section is great too. Who would of thought they have brake ducts :P I need that part #

Before this gets further out of hand.

As someone elsewhere noted, this may just be a move to prevent any aftermarket companies from making a replica bodykit. I'm not sure about the Japanese patent system, but I'd wager that most manufacturers file design patents on their concept cars.
