Was a pretty easy install. The hardest part was just removing the rear deck and the light. Once those came out installing the rest was just a matter of removing the tape lining it up and sticking it to the glass. Then running the wire along the headliner and trim panels to the trunk. I did cut the factory brake light harness and used the wires to solder in the leads from the new light.

I have to say that Wheelhaus's 3rd brake light is of way lower profile. Almost doesn't reduce visibility from rear window at all unlike this.

You're insane if you think the CDC light reduces rear visibility. It has the same, or less of a footprint than the stock light.

It looked that way in posted pic at least. When i look w. wheelhaus's, it's almost in line with rear window top line, sitting in recess of roof trim.

Well at the angle I shot the photo it looks like it larger than it really is. In person you don't even notice it there being up high, unlike the low mounted stock light. If you look at the rear view mirror shot that's what it looks like when you're sitting in the seat.
