A square set-up is better for handling. You can run into understeer issues with a staggered set-ups. Also heard of people having issues with traction control when running two different size of tires. Nothing some chassis set-up won't fix, just easier to go square.
That is a 255/30 on a 18x9.5 et-15 Front, and 285/30 on a 18x11 et-8 Rear. Edit: Hmm 18x11 et18 Front - 18x11 et-14 Rear.

Gotcha, yeah I remember my Viper would push through turns. 275's/345's. Don't have much seat time actually tracking but you're shedding light on some things. I want to track this car for sure so I'm gonna follow your lead.
You thinking maybe 18x11 all around? |

Possibly. Would be able to run 315 all around. Though would require some modifications to the frame to clear.

Just about to order the wheels for rocket bunny and really thinking hard on it. On one hand, wider tires available and would be unique in the area. On the other hand I can't go back, not that I think I would want to go back.

Wheels are also ordered 18x10.5 et22 front 18x10.5 et15 rear. 10mm Spacer Front, and 25mm rear. Maybe extra 10mm rear.

Should have everything I need on the way. Went with a 285/30/18 Federal RSR. Loved them on my 17's, excited to have grippy tires again.

Eventually I will make the switch to 5x114.3 hubs/custom 5x100 wheels. For now this will work great. The new wheels weight about 22lbs (18x10.5) compared to my current XXRs that weight a little over 24lbs at 18x8.75.

Same here. I feel bad every time I wash the FRS because I can see the slight swirls and feel how rough the paint is. Nothing a quick clay/polish won't take care of, but just haven't put the time into keeping clean like I used to.
I actually have a cart full of the gyeon stuff and looking at polishes at autogeek. The forum has a really nice "show and shine" section that is fun to look through when you have extra time. Not sure why, but I really like the look of black flares on the blue body. Though it could just be the lighting. edit: Got the first of the spacers:

I actually like the black on blue too but I think the wheels gotta be black too.
But I say it's all gotta be the same color and the dark silver will work well with the blue. |
