I think I am going to try my luck at my 60k service (sometime this winter) and get the pump replaced. It will be cold for a while, so I may not be able to report the crickets until springtime, but this pump actually has physical differences, so why not?

As long as we don't discover in 6 months that the new one creates walruses or something even worse!

We'll see. If the crickets return, I will get a new license plate...

Unfortunately "8TH PLAGE" wasn't available.

Mine is in the shop as I type this getting the new pump installed. Hope this solves the issue because even with the cooler weather my crickets did not let up any.

Italian cars with such issues are seen as having "character" so why can't our Twins live with the crickets and we put a positive spin on things? Make peace with the crickets and file the noise under "Character".

That's why people buy Japanese cars in the first place.

New fuel pump installed! So far, so good.

I'll monitor the situation, but I'm starting to hear my TOB make cricket noises now.

My 2017 has crickets after about 2800 miles. So don't expect it to last.
