Quad tip or not, it's all based on resonators and baffling. Most exhaust systems come with a glass-pack that degrades over time. To be fair, the GReddy SP was a great setup like @sw20kosh said, but it will degrade over time. We have a special quiet muffler in the works with ACE, but after several iterations, we may be getting close to a working piece that will be sufficient for tracks requiring sound limits. The only real downside to a quiet muffler is presence...you won't get the glorious note you hear roaring down track where you feel like a super duper racecar.

Best to run a good muffler with dual exit or something similar.

I really want the ACE + JDL ultra quiet front pipe/overpipe combo + the 60S.
60S is already loud with a factory header and front pipe.

Tomei FP is titanium so it gives it a dry sound and sound quality that no other material can give it. It's great with the right pairing of exhausts, but it can be annoying with the wrong set of components.

If FT86SF would put this exhaust into production I would be ecstatic.

I emailed them awhile back and they were kicking the idea around, maybe if there's some like minded people in here we could get enough interest for a limited group buy or something.

This is blatantly off topic though, I'll stop...

It's a great way to melt your bumper on track... cool in theory, but totally not usable in a performance application.

I was thinking center exit exhaust in a custom carbon fiber rear bumper +diffuser set up, but the cost for that would be way too much

I wonder if the silencer would even help. haha, agreed though it's trial and error

Stay on the throttle long enough and say goodbye to your bumper. The last 86CUP day saw some bumpers being burned off and those are your standard Californian track drivers (CA guys probably have more seat time than most in the country). Most things that don't work were scraped quite a long time ago.

On another note, some setups do help marginally so it's not entirely a lost cause. Obviously when you're ready, we can put together something for you if you're interested.

Is that the 2.5" or 3" front pipe? It's almost too quiet. I'll be testing the same setup minus the S/C.

So, there's a promo right now...

Purchase a Ace A/350 header, and a MXP XP exhaust, and get a free Ace tune (ecutek)...
