Drove the 10 Series from Long Island thru NYC to Tintin Falls, NJ outlet and back. First extended drive in the winter + wet roads in a long time with stock tires. Made it back accident and dent free but rear end of car is filthy. Can't wait for spring!

They do, but they have no sales tax on clothes, slightly cheaper gas (even though you're not allowed to pump it yourself), and it gives me an excuse to drive her around.

Everybody was panicking last night because it was going to snow again in the Portland metro area. Scraped the windows, drove in on bone dry roads, did not crash.

hmmm.......well, OK.......

My take is that ....... I couldn't buy enough clothes (to save the sales tax) nor get enough gas in my car (for a savings) to tempt me to drive through NYC .....even back when I was bulletproof .......

Four inches of rain last night.
Many drains still frozen over.
Whole sections of road covered with up to a foot of water.
Drove through them with my 4 inch ground clearance.
Did not stall.
Did not hydrolock.
Did not leak.
Did not crash!

The underside of the car should be really, really clean now though.

75 degrees. Blue skies, no signs of rain, no snow since 1976. Took a drive, windows open. Did not crash.

Yeah I'm rubbing it in @Tcoat

Especially since you ripped the bottom of your car off some time ago.

Just the plastic pan under the rad. Didn't crash that time either.

Took my wife for a drive on Sunday for her birthday. We went over the hill to Watsonville and had a picnic at Gizdich Ranch. Bought a pie. Did not crash.

Drove to the DMV today to renew my driver's license, then went to get the FRS, and later the Suburban emissions inspected. In all cases, did not crash, and passed the tests.

The license renewal was a different experience than last time (in Georgia you renew every 10 years). Last time it took me over 4 hours, most of it standing outside the building in the rain. When I got in the workers were less than polite or caring.

This time, I filled out the paperwork online, got to the location, checked in at a kiosk, sat down for 10 minutes, my number was called. The lady was very pleasant, chatted about the weather getting better for motorcycle riding (she noticed my motorcycle rating), looked at my paperwork, took a new photo and we were done in less than 5 minutes. Overall, in and out in under 15 minutes.

Technology is a wonderful thing when its put to good use.

Currently digging to China in my side yard.

We originally were going to have breakfast in Davenport, but Sunday morning she decided she wanted to sleep in and came up with the picnic plan, so I didn't have time to fry some up. I had to throw the picnic together pretty quick. I did mention it was missing.
