I don’t usually post videos, but this was my best run at 49.384, allowing me to squeeze between Powers and Graff in PAX time for this event.

I'm probably going to instruct for Edge Addicts next Sat. @ MSR.

We may have let a BMW take the win in STX, but twins took 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. We also managed a 1st, 3rd, and 4th finish for the season with the aforementioned BMW driven by Brad Maxcy as the spoiler. I managed 3rd with Slatertots (bslate3) in front and David (shneegle) just behind. I'm looking forward to a better start next season so I don't have to dig myself out of a deep points hole (no guarantees that'll actually help me finish higher).

My last run was my fastest, I wasted a good chunk of time with a big drift but I made up for it in the slalom.

I love how you went thru a cloud of smoke with a corner worker running for his life! Haha!

This year has been a ton of fun! I can't wait for next season!

Congrats to Sam (14stu) for winning Class 1 yesterday at NTAXS, at the final Autocross event of the season. He was doing some serious cone killing until his last run, with a clean time that put him in first. Brandon (bslate3) could have taken first with a slightly faster time, but competed in the X Class instead against Whitener's "Jeep/Corvette". Best I could manage was 14th in Class 1, but could have moved up to 12th if I hadn't coned my last run. Expletive at 1:05 as I realize I just blew my best run:
. Other than the 30-40 mph winds, it was a fun day and a good close to the season. Looking forward to next season, and the final PDX event at MSR on 12/9.

I had to swap to my emergency brake pads for today's Edge Addicts event on the 3.1 at MSR (Hawk DTC-70), they are loud and too aggressive to use with RE71's (way too easy to hit ABS).

My group went out first, and the track was downright frigid which did not instill confidence. I didn't feel good until the end of the second session. I was about a second from my personal best, managing a 2:34.7 in the third session.

per the new December fastrack it looks like the 2017 non PP/TRD cars will be moved to DS. Meaning the only twins in CS will be those with TRD parts or the performance package BRZ's. Brian (LetsROQ) is about to get some more competition.

Would love more 86s in DS. This year has been mainly Minis and WRXs in the class. Although I’m also considering moving to SSC, especially if Taylor B. does as well. Would be nice to see a Black Friday or Cyber Monday discount from Tire Rack on the stage 1 and 2 performance packages.

Anybody attending the ER event on 12/16? I'm going to miss it, going to Hair Metal Holiday instead: https://www.thebombfactory.com/event...ay-ace-dallas/, but it sounds like fun!

"Equipe Rapide has reserved Mineral Wells on December 16th for a membership appreciation day. We appreciate all that you do for us during the year and want to give back. If you are a current ER member then it is free. If you are not a member then you can attend with the purchase a 2018 membership on AXWareORM. If you are a 2017 member you can buy a 2018 membership if you desire.

We plan on having a practice course, slalom course, and the barrel course set up. These will be non-competition runs just for fun and practice. The barrel course will be three pivot cones in a triangle pattern. We did this a few years ago and it was a real tire roasting hoot!"

I have yet to go out to one of these as they always schedule them when I have to work a Saturday night. With the track weekend for 9th & 10th i'm not sure ill have any tire left. As it stands now I have to work that night, but if anything changes then it will depend on what I have left for tires.

I think Miles will be in for it as he will be off and would need a reason to burn up the tires on the IS since he is bringing the Lotus to the PDX.

So, I bought some new brake pads and accidentally bought front pads for the stock calipers when I meant to buy rears.

I'd rather pass the savings onto a fellow racer than pay shipping and restocking, so if anyone wants some excellent Hawk Street/Race Pads for the front stock calipers (link) for just $120, let me know.

Those are the same pads I'm running, but we just put on the new set about 3 months ago. If you don't find anyone who needs them right now, I can probably take them off your hands and hold them until I need to replace mine.

Brake pads don't really go bad, so I don't have any problems sitting on them. My only lasted about 3 months, but that included 4 trackdays and like 20 autox events (counting co-drives).

I really like the HP Street/Race pads, I'm a little sad that I can't find them for my AP Racing Sprint Kit.

IMO I would look at either the Carbotech AX6 or GLoc R6 pad for the AP kit. Exactly same compound from both. Only look to be about $160 for a set from CSG.
