Can you send the image my way? I would love to get that on the red grip-tape knob; that is if you don't mind.

has shift leverage changed?
can you still feel the 'gates'?
do you like it enough to recommend it for DD?
for track?
have you had it up to speed?
any more or less play than OE?
any more vibration, NVH or other feedback?

thanks, great write up

Gem,

Haven't had tons of miles on it to break it in or taken it past 65mph so I'll have limited feedback.

Right now it takes some more strength to work the shifter vs OEM but you can still two fingertip shift. Force wise it could be quantifies as the same (more force across a short distance vs less force over a longer distance :p )

Its still comfortable to use for DD. it'll be natural just like the OEM once I adjust my muscle memory

It has the same amount of lateral wiggle while in gear as OEM

It reduced vibration for me both visibly and physically. Could be a combination of mods there but no more shakes. As for NVH, I didnt hear anything over the Vortech

When I'm less busy I'll take it for some hooning. Perhaps it'll be better the more I drive it.

From watching the two overhead videos it appears that the shifts from Neutral to R, 1, 3 & 5 are shorter than the stock stick, but the shifts from Neutral to 2, 4 & 6 appear to be the same distance as stock as evidenced by where the edge of the shift knob appears from above when shifting to 2, 4 or 6. If that is the case, why aren't the shifts to 2, 4 & 6 shorter in distance (from neutral) like 1, 3 & 5. I assume the camera wasn't moved between shooting the videos?

From a profile view it appears the camera is a slight angle (i.e. ____/ ) and not directly over-top (i.e. ____| ) which could cause the phenomenon you're describing.

Slightly helpful Youtube mashup, not synchronized at all available here: http://www.youtubemultiplier.com/514...em-shifter.php
