Best thing to do is shop by phone. Once you get your best price call the other places and tell them you were quoted a price that is actually a bit lower than you actually were and let them fight to undercut it.

Would I do this? Never, but I am a sucker.

Rays Gram Lights are actually quite heavy. The 57 series are too AFAIK.
The forged Rays are nice but pricey.

I was happy with Wheelsco this year. Doubtful the phone negotiation will work though LOL Both their installers had twins, but one, which was painted bright yellow, got written off this year. Super cool enthusiasts, deserve to be a vendor in the community! But the wheels you are interested wont be cheap regardless by the looks of it.

They do sell and display a lot of Rays stuff. The problem is people want to buy higher end without dealer making any margin. A stocked dealer for what you want probably your best bet. Ask what they have in the warehouse if you are between several.

And, if you happen to buy TE37 18" x 9" in gun blue, message me when you are ready to sell them!

If he's on the east side of the GTA, I'm sure he could find someone in Oshawa. South of the 401, passed the train tracks

Man if I had the cash flow for TE37's I wouldn't even be hauling ass trying to find the lowest price...

4 shops that I did call though (I wont put them on blast) would just tell me to email them instead which ticked me off more than it should. Its as if they don't think I knew an email is easier but I chose a phone call because its faster and a lot more meaningful in my opinion... Definitely wont be shopping with those guys.

Calling one more shop tomorrow and then making my decision...
I'm not too worried about weight though... I don't plan on tracking this upcoming year, just slowly modding the car up to how I want it to look before racecar mode.

Might be a dumb question but I've never purchased a set of expensive wheels before. Especially not ones that are custom ordered that take months to arrive.

Is it safer to put my deposit down in cash or credit?

If something goes wrong you are usually insured or at least have a means of recourse through credit cards. Cash is just gone. If I have any doubt at all on something I always use credit as a deposit or payment.
