I'm sure everyone is capable of dreaming up an extreme-use scenario where crash bolts would not work as well as camber plates. Did you read OPs original description of his intended use? Why bring up what will never happen...?

Might as well...everyone is trying to make it into a racecar anyways...

It's just the right thing to do. There will always be something I can do that improves it... after camber, it will be brakes, after brakes it will be shocks, after shocks, it will be....

At some point in the future I probably will make this a track car, but for now it's primary duty will be a long commute. Maybe I'll just leave it be until that day arrives. I don't like understeer, but it's not like a little understeer makes autocross not fun.

Get it aligned..it's worth the hundred bucks. Use some good numbers, and make sure the alignment guy actually hits them, not just 'shooting for the green range'. A good alignment (including some camber) does wonders for how the car feels and responds, and honestly might be all you need to make the car perform like you want.

At the very minimum, the OEM crash bolts maxed outs are not going to slip on you and they will make a nice change. Cheap and effective.

Camber bolts (eccentric bolts) are more prone to slippage, but properly installed and maxed out they will be fine.

Camber plates on OEM shocks can be tricky to get the right set up. I would recommend against Raceseng on stock shocks as you'll lose valuable travel....they're great for coilovers though.

Velox are a great option for OEM shocks.

Racecomp Engineering: btw, but why camberbolts are more prone to slippage? (vs OE crashbolts).
From what it seems to me, for there to be play for adjustment OE crashbolts, they in essence are just smaller sized then strut hole normal bolts .. so also of lesser shearing strength and torque rating. Camberbolt then should be same as OE of comparable strength, if not slightly higher, due extra metal on one side of bolt in lobed part, no?
I get why OE original bolts might be stronger, they simply are bigger/thicker, thus less likely to shear, thus can be torqued down stronger. But vs (smaller) OE crashbolts?

A lot of it is that there's just a much higher chance of improper installation.

Ok, I bought some of the 17" TRD wheels on the 40% off sale today.

Going to use those for daily driving with some pilot sport 4s and then use the stock with re-71rs for autox.

I'm going to more seriously consider the OE crashbolts.

Now that the wheel choice is settled, I just have one further concern:

What size tires? on the 17 x 7.5" wheel I could do 215/45/17 (stock), 225/45/17, 225/40/17, or....
