On a superflow Yes. On a dynojet, which seems to be what the majority of people use around the forums, it would make a little over 250whp.

For reference, a stock FRS make around 150whp on a superflow

Pictures from the track day. All Photos taken by Edward Beshara.

It wasn't until I saw one of these pictures that I realized my splitter was worst than I thought. Its very bent, and likely didn't help as much as it should have. It was being pulled down in the front(could visibly see it) while moving though. So I won't write it off completely. I will be taking it off and making one from Dibond/Alumilite though. The plywood is just too difficult to keep care of on a daily driven car.

I was having issues with my splitter warping due to moisture, despite everything I did to combat the issue. So I removed it after the track day. I'll be making another from dibond this winter(or a few). Pictures of how it fared:

I kind of miss how the car handled itself while N/A. It is a different car when Turbo'd. Not bad, just different. Kind of takes away from what made the FRS fun. Stuck well and could blast it around town with no worries and still get great Gas mileage(not that it is super important, but I do miss not having to fill up so often).

I'll see how I feel after winter. Plan on buying the OFT350 upgrade next week. So that should fun, and may change my mind.

I think I know what you mean, is it because of the throttle response? I used to be able to get on the throttle heavily through turns but I have to keep an eye on things now, it accelerates so quickly under boost that it's easier to negotiate a corner badly by coming in too hot. I think a supercharger would be better at retaining that quality, especially something like the Innovate kit. Mainly because of the nature of superchargers, it'd feel more "naturally apirated" than a turbo and also because it doesn't make as much power as the SBD turbo. I used to love finding empty parking lots when the ground was wet and I'd hold the car sideways and sometimes powerslide through corners when the ground was dry. But I haven't done any of that since I got my turbo. I think it's just a matter of getting used to how sideways the car gets at different angles and different amounts of boost. I'll definitely be happy to get wider, grippy tires on the car. Keeping the stock tires with the SBD turbo isn't an issue unless you try using boost through corners. I'm sure it's just a matter of trying it out several times to learn it's new boundaries. I'd have a real hard time going back to NA though, I've gotten used to having this extra power on tap. It's the nature of turbos though, you can have that same fun but the boost from turbos "feels" less linear and immediate than superchargers which really do feel more like they're part of the engine. You get the parasitic hit on fuel economy with superchargers but it also feels more "NA" than turbos which feel like exactly what they are - something external to the engine that kicks in. The last time I had a car with boost it was n2o, so having a turbo is really really nice and far superior compared to that. Because there's no negotiating n2o, either you're spraying the full shot or you're not spraying at all. Instead of dialing in the amount of boost by giving it a certain amount of throttle, you have to swap out the jet to a different size. But a lot of my friends ran superchargers and I drove their cars a lot, so I remember what they feel like.

On the first page of this build thread, you have pics where you painted the inside plastics of your headlights black. It looks great. I know somebody with a Series Blue in our local 86 group that did the same thing and I used to have the same thing done to my last car, a 2006 Eclipse. I love that look and plan on eventually painting the plastics inside my headlights too. Was it a pain in the ass to get them open?

You mentioned having a problem after putting the front bumper back on, especially on the passenger side, where you couldn't get the front bumper to line back up properly again. Everyone has that problem to varying degrees, it really sucks. The same guy I mentioned above with the Series Blue got this kit for his front bumper that makes it easy to pop on and off, it also adds some structural integrity to the front bumper IIRC. I forgot what it's called exactly, I just sent him a facebook PM asking him for details so I'll let you know what he did. I was hoping to do the same thing myself at some point because it got rid of the problem with trying to get the front bumper lined up.

I think wider tires will help a lot with my issues, but we'll see.

The headlights weren't bad at all. Bake them open, paint them, wait to dry for about an hour or so, then bake them for 5 minutes to get the sealant pliable again and stick them back together. Beats having to do the taillights by a long shot.

I have been able to fit the bumper a couple times so it fit correctly, it just takes time. I looked into the quick disconnects for the bumper, but they didn't seem to be very easy to install. I'll look at them down the road though.

Well I just placed the order for the OFT350 Upgrade. Going to source my own Intake. $20 for the aluminum 90, and $20-$30 for a filter.

Picked up an aluminum 90 to make a cold air intake from. Just need to pick up a filer, and a coupler. Should be in it for ~$40? Compared to the $125 they are being sold at. Should have it installed tonight. I am going to cut the mesh open in the fog light blank to help feed ambient air into where the filter will sit.

I have to remove the stock washer reservoir to fit it. I remember a thread on here where someone installed a much smaller universal one from amazon. I just so happened to save it to my wish list, so I bought it. Going to try to get it installed Sunday. Now I need to hunt down the thread.
