no, its simply that peak numbers don't tell the whole tale of power delivery. for instance, stock evos had ridiculous power numbers, but those numbers didn't tell you that you'd have to slog through the entire tachometer before getting to the power

hell, a user on here posted his dyno chart for his (works?) carb legal turbo kit. most people simply went "hurr u spent $6600 for that little power gain durr" while munching on crayons and completely missing the immense boost in torque and power at 3000rpm. if you only look at peak numbers you're doing it wrong

I think we can all agree that a catback is only ever going to do a little bit compared to things like headers, boost, and tunes

I gotcha, yeah - more area under the torque curve everywhere is more fun than a high peak by itself.

My car is right at 2500 lbs now, with 1/2 tank of 93 oct.
I've got plans to shave another 50 lbs by the end of summer from the car...and 10 lbs from my chubby self
With the 4.56 final drive and the headers / tune - it's peppy! Can t wait to get it on track next weekend!

Simplify and add lightness works if you carry it far and commit !

I would recommend just a standard 2.5" single exit muffler delete exiting driver's side. Any form of resonator in this axle back section should help your ears.

You have to think:
Japan engineers spent a lot of hours routing of the original exhaust system.
Ace also spent lots of hours engineering the header.

The only thing both Toyota and Ace engineers did the same was to measure everything with the total length of the exhaust in place, engine-to-bumper.

Hope this helps
It does. A solid, straight as possible 2.5" with straight through resonator / muffler out to the factory driver exhaust opening shouldn't significantly hurt power production or delivery is what you're saying.

I've been considering the concept of anti-reversion to improve scavenging.

Adding anti reversion chambers to an existing system? Where in the system? At the header in individual primaries? After the collectors? Or further back?

Fuck yeah! Power/weight ratio is everything.

How much you weight, after lunch and some beers

I didn't plan out my follow-up. I figured the older crew would pick up on it first.

It's worth reading. OP is a delusional computer repair guy that happens to live right in my town. He spent a lot of money on a whim with zero understanding. Results were as expected. A real cringefest.

That was more entertaining then the last Star Wars movie.

I was working in the motorcycle industry in the early 2000's. I remember a lot of weird stuff coming out. The only thing that really stuck around was hemholtz resonators, and those pretty much just to meet sound restrictions.

That's why I like the dyno #s on the Ace 350 header. Doesn't gain much up top compared to whats out there but the mid range torque dip turns into a torque surplus
