LFA JR. -- My Whiteout FRS BUILD

-- Boost T-Minus 2 WEEKS -- That is all

Hey guys I'm Ben from Chicago and this is my FRS build. I will be taking things slowly upgrading aesthetics and performance until the warranty expires at which point I will be going the Forced Induction route. I am a 19 year old college student working construction in my free time and the summers, been saving for this car since last year! This is my first stick shift car but i have been riding motorcycles for a while so this should be interesting.

I plan on doing track days, autocross and maybe even a few drift days with this car, all the mods apart from aesthetic stuff will be to help me perform better in these events as well as prepare & provide a solid platform for when I go forced induction.
Anyways,

Timeline:

[6/26/2014]: Took Delivery of my beautiful 6SPD M/T Whiteout FRS

[6/27/2014]: Cusco Front Strut Tower W/ Brake cylinder brace went in.

[7/10/2014] Perrin 3" Catback Installed

[7/27/2014]:Break In Done!

Interior:

Exterior:

-- Red Lug Nuts + Wheel Locks (Because people like to steal wheels on my block ) INSTALLED

Future Upgrades:
Performance:
-- Perrin Stage 2 Tune
-- Headers (Not sure which yet)
-- AP RACING BBK
-- DG-5 Coilovers
-- Crawford Billet Power Blocks
-- Moto-East Flex-Fuel Kit

Interior:

-- Carbon Fiber panels
-- Leather Seat Covers

Exterior:

-- INGs+ Aero Front Fenders
-- Cusco Tow Hooks
-- WEDSPORT SA-60M Rims
-- Carbon Fiber Trunk Lip
-- Spec D Headlights & Tailights

It might take a little for all this to come in fruition but it will. College is expensive haha

My friend was installing one side of the cusco strut bar and he over torqued the bolt that connects the black engine bay brace and it sheered is there anyway to fix this...? its my fault for being a dumbass and forgetting my torque wrench

Here are the toyota badges getting dipped.

Perrin 3" Cold Start

I plan on keeping this car classy and simple, and practical, not super low as i do live in pothole capitol chicago lol.

Had my buddy who does some amateur photography take some pics an edit them, I'm pretty pleased with how my baby Melanie came out.

Dyno Graph with only the Perrin 3" Catback installed

J2 Catless front pipe + Perrin 3" Catback. Stock header stock overpipe.
One more video of a cold start after a night of sitting. Loveee the tone <3

My perrin 3" catback exhaust came in yesterday. Picked it up at Touge Factory, highly reccomend these guys.

Cant wait to install it and see how it sounds!!!

Cusco Rear Strut Bar finally went in because i had some time to make everything look nice and flush, had to trim the OEM styrofoam tool kit and cut some channels into the carpet but im pleased with the result.

Matte Black Toyota Badges went on as well

I want to get these fenders so bad, but my budget only permits so many upgrades a month.

Finally heres a cool picture of my car and my cousins LS2 'vette. I call this one beauty and the beast haha

Finally got the Exhaust installed.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the product, the welds are superb. The sound is even better. I cannot find words to describe how pleased I am with the sound. Its very tame around 2-3.5k rpm but once you start to throttle, oh boy does it let you know its there. I was surprised at how deep and pleasant the tone is, not ricerish (for lack of better word) at all. The 4" tips also fill in the holes in the rear valence quite well.

Here is a quick video of a Cold start-up. I will uploading more videos/pictures as soon as my phone charges.

Very NICE! I'm not sure but I think I ran into you at TF-Works a week or two ago when you picked up the exhaust.

For that snapped stud... Idk what the hell your friend was using to tighten that nut but it was wayyyyyyy to tight lol. I personally have never looked at it but its probably removed through the strut tower area on top of the fender liner. You can probably pound it out and put a new one in (I would imagine so)

Considering those bolts are only supposed to be torqued to 12 ft lbs, yeah, it doesn't take much.
