I know your pain OP, sorry man, it really sucks. My car is finally going into the shop Monday for the damage that occurred 3 weeks ago.

Bad luck about the accident, I am happy you are okay.
Pretty much this

And this.
I had this exact scenario happen except I was in an Impreza at the time and it was totaled.

Great and wise thought about thinking like your on a motorcycle when driving a car this low. I got my taillight busted and a nice dent in front of that when a piece of tree limb went under the left rear wheel levered up and conked the car. I was backing out of my garage! Feel your pain but not near as much of course...best of luck. Mine is silver...er "argento" as well.

Yeah i'm definitely going to be overly cautious for a while now even though it wasn't really preventable.

It's been over 6 weeks now since the accident and my body shop is finally starting to work on the car. Our auto insurance took forever to approve the repairs and then a few parts were on back-order... sigh. The repairs will take about 2 weeks (40 labor hours).

I MISS IT SO MUCH!!!!!! I'm going crazy..

Ah that sucks man sorry to hear. Yeah 6 weeks mostly due to our crappy car insurance system here.... it's public insurance so we are forced to take their bullshit...

I was in the right lane and going to turn right up ahead at the lights. The left lane had a lineup of cars about 15 cars waiting to turn left. There was a parking lot to a gas station about 50 feet before the intersection on both sides of the road.

There was a small break in the line on the left and a guy cut across without stopping to check if cars (me) was coming down the other lane and hit me at about 10mph.

I then proceeded to swear at the top of my lungs (still inside the car) and hold back from smacking the guy once we exchanged our info.

Hopefully you understand what i'm talking about, it's hard to explain what happened without a diagram.

Our insurance company put him completely at fault so I don't have to pay anything besides my tears and time going through the process of having it appraised and then fixing it......

Yikes i kind of wish mine happened like that so it would be written off too. I would have had a new car delivered in 3 weeks.... it's been about 7 now without my car

No I don't unfortunately. The shop just got the green light from my insurance company to start working on it late last week. I will post an after pic once I get her back, I can't wait for that day.

Are you going to do any mods while it's in the shop?

Gotta make lemonade....
