I totally agree, picks up pretty much anything that moves, even birds in some cases.

Only drawback, at least with the Pro (I don't know about the Pro 2), is that its always in Mo-cap mode, so that the recordings aren't always fluid. Aka, it starts when the car starts, but if you stay still for a little while, it stops recording. Good example of this is when I was doing autocross during 86 fest 2 years ago, the recording didnt start right when i started a run, but about 2-3 seconds into it, and then would not record other parts of it. In addition to the battery life issue, I actually turned off Mo-Cap for the time being. If I hardwire eventually, I may switch the camera back and forth between the two. A little time-consuming, but not that difficult.

Since parking mode is important to you, don't get this cam.

Motion detector/g-sensor doesn't work like in other cams. Motion detector puts the cam to sleep (stops recording) while the car isn't in motion after a user selected amount of time (I leave it recording at all times) while driving.

G-sensor essentially locks the currently written file in case of an accident. Due to the nature of how twitchy this car is, it'll keep locking files and won't auto-loop. I've had my brother flail around, kick the wheel, etc. and it doesn't turn on since no power is being supplied to it when the car is off.

You can set this cam up to run in parking mode using a separate battery, but it wasn't meant to do that in the first place. Only thing that I'd say is a downside to it.

Got an SD card for my EG Mini 0805 today, since I didn't want to wait until next week for the SD card I ordered off amazon. Put the card in for the drive home to see what the footage is like. Pretty dang pleased with it, especially for a cam that cost just over $100 CAD. Now I just need to see night time quality and I can see if the 0805 is the cheap dash cam that could.

Just found this thread, lol I guess when I have free time I'll posts new footage I find on some SoCal drivers.

Here's a personal video on a Canyon Run.

Lost traction on black ice but quickly regained control! Didn't have winter tires just stock tires so I'm looking into buying some grippy ones next paycheck haha.

Stock tire is really bad on snow/ cold stuff. But I don't think anything is gonna help with a patch of ice out of no where on the road that much. Be careful on those road conditions.

( Don't lie to you self~ you live in cali, you not gonna get snow tires. )

Don't have anything worth posting, unless you want to see someone cruising along listening to loud, shitty music haha

Just checking in. 4 months with a [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Spy-Tec-STI_G1W-C-Capacitor-Edition/dp/B00JJ3SQRI"]G1W-C[/ame] (capacitor model) and zero issues!

I've left it in hot/humid temps and cold 15 degree and it works like a charm.
